#Full frame Newt

Even if there would be some vingette at corners I could crop it out since the cameras field is pretty big, or am I wrong?
I did use a skwatcher 130/650PDS for quite some time with a sony alpha 7 IV and got pretty good results, you should probably be able to achieve similiar with the larger ones from the same lineup if you are looking forward for that
Main issue isnt vignetting from my experince but very elongated stars at the edges, so using the full FOV of the full frame isnt probably a great idea. You should probably shoot in APSC to save storage since anything around that area is probably useless anyway
Might be also somewhat shit editing & suboptimal collimation but yea... this is already somewhat cropped in (taken with full frame though), so imagine how much worse it is even further out
So really it depends on quite a few things like secondary mirror size, but mostly the coma corrector! full frame coma correctors are not cheap, and youre gonna have to be willing to put the money in for one!
Another thing to really consider is collimation (especially if you are F4) collimation has to be absolute spot on if you want it to work, secondary is mainly the issue, some smaller sensors you can get away with slightly decentered secondary. with full frame that is not the case, ofcourse thats kinda pointless if you dont get primary perfect too (: if you dont collimate to "full frame standards" youll be met with comatic stars in likely all corners, and uneven illumination across the FOV (isnt a issue because flats exist)
Hope this helps in some way!
Appears to me your backspacing is wrong and no coma corrector (or not a full frame one at the very least)
Okay, thanks a lot.
So in theory I would need the secondary mirror as big as I can find, correct?
indeed no coma corrector
Yeah although pointless without a coma corrector still
Well there’s the stars at
Yeah of course.
Found this, do I need a bigger secondary mirror?
Imo it should be fine. I use 130pds which has a smaller secondary mirror and its a slight pain in the ass. So a bit bigger one should be enough
You used a full frame camera if I remembered correctly?
