For like a $100-$150 more I would rather get the star adventurer gti, can power the mount with just 8 AA batteries just like the 2i pro, the gti also does go to so you won’t have to struggle finding an object and centering it, also gti is more upgrade friendly and start doing guiding with guide scope and camera, because of the small price difference even if I was doing wide field Milky Way shots honestly I would still go for the gti just in case I wanted to do dso astrophotography and if I try and don’t want to at least I didn’t waste a bunch of money but at least I’ll have it in case I want to latter down the road or want to do some planetary photography it will keep the planets in frame the entire time, also I think the payload is about the same but the gti handled my svbony sv503 70ed much better than the 2i, sorry for how all over the place I am, I’m at work and trying to make sure I get the point out, don’t get me wrong the 2i pro is a fantastic mount and it teaches you how to star hop and teaches you the night sky but now a days with the gti it just makes more sense to get that over the 2i. I started with the 2i pro but that was a few years before the gti came out so I had both mounts and loved them both

thank you for the suggestion but i think the gti might be a little bit out of my price range, the gti does sound really tempting because of dso imaging and upgradability but I would be getting the 2i used so its a bit cheaper than if i were to buy it new
