I am a little bit lazy
say no more. AM5
if you're not planning on shooting at like 2000mm with an rc10 go with the am5. Or if you're not planning on loading the mount with 30kg worth of stuff
Ha ha. Thanks. You already suggested previously to go for AM5 but the light pollution is so bad that I usually see max of max 7 to 10 stars with my naked eyes so was not sure if AM5 would guide properly if guide scope is not used. I heard the PPE on CEM 70 is +/-3.5 arc sec with is great

you would need to check what the guide cam can see, worst case scenario you can buy a ir sensitive camera and a ir pass filter to guide in the infrared

I don't remember that but sounds about right lol
Got it. Thanks
I have the CEM70
Its great, however not really portable.
Is it portable enough to carry it 1 floor of stairs and set up ?
without cw and cw bar yes for sure
mostly depends on your ota
am5 is more than fine for most of equipment
cem70 is more observatory tier mount for big refractors or like 12" scopes.
I think everything comes in a box so I think it should fine. I know the tracking of CEM 70 is better than AM5 and AM5 needs guide scope. I am thinking of minimal setup without using guide scope
Also, I have 6" reflector
Got it. AM5 it is than
