i would try and find something second hand maybe try and find a dobsonian if you only want to do planetary apature is your friend 🙂

It’s not a bad telescope from what I know but if I were you I would go for a used one that how I get all my equipment and you can get much better equipment for the same price

I'm not to experienced in telescope buying. Shoot I bought a ~$400 newt on an eq mount and haven't been too impressed

I'd recommend a Barlow lens and probably a 6mm or 4mm lens too. Otherwise the planets will be very zoomed out
