I also got his whole kit, but since he was not the most organized man out there, I’m not really sure what I’m looking at
I know I probably sound completely stupid, but that's because I'm new to the hobby
It’s a Meade LX90, looks like the 8” version but it also came in 10” and 12”. Lovely scope, my university used to have a pair of them in the observatory. It’ll be fantastic for looking at planets.
Not sure what the piggybacking scope is. That itself looks like a beast and possibly also used for imaging or observing wide(er)field, it’s overkill for a finder scope.
