So, I finally tried collimating my scope this weekend using the TSRCKOLLI tool, and, after aligning the secondary and primary, I'm ending up with the secondary mirror holder poking through at the bottom left??
Any idea what the cause of this is? I'm a totall collimation noob.
I suspect it might be because I didnt have a laser to check any tilt issue with the focuser, so I ordered one now, but this looks maybe a bit extreme to just be tilt?

hi, you should use the laser to firstly collimate your focuser then repeat the whole process
Thanks, since I suspected that could be the case, I ordered a laser collimator a few days back, I'll try again as soon as I get it
i would recommend buying a 3d printed extension for the baffle tube ( the one sticking from the primary ), as you can see in your image, there's a bright thin ring surrounding the secondary shadow. that shouldn't be there ( its a design flaw).
thanks, I have that already, I thought it'd be better if I collimate without
