I am thinking about getting into narrowband imaging to get around the light pollution (Bortle 6/7), and was looking at monochrome cameras. Both the QHY 533M and ASI533MM Pro use the same sensor and are roughly the same price ($1k) at Agena Astro.

One thing I noticed is that the QHY weighs like twice as much as the ASI, though it's not clear why. Are there any other reasons to prefer one over the other?

iirc the qhy model has built in anti dew/frost on the optical window which may contribute to its weight im not sure. Also if you plan on using an asair computer to control your equipment in the future that would be something to consider.

Same goes for autofocusers, rotators, etc. The only thing not bound by brand is the mount
