Yes

true flint
#

Wdym need ect

fervent grail
#

etc means et cedra which basically means additional things

#

but that looks like a super cheap scope that will suck a lot, better off getting a dobsonian if you want to do visual astronomy

#

with as large aperture as possible

Is the dresser classic 70/350 refractor telescope worth it

what are you using the scope for

#

and refractors aren’t really the best for visual, you should get something which as much aprerature as possible

true flint
#

Like what

fervent grail
#

what are you using the scope for

#

visual, planetary imaging, or deep space object imaging?

true flint
#

I'm on a buget but I want to look at it for deep space

fervent grail
#

so deep space is harder and a lot more expensive, to get started in deep space you will need a star tracker (300ish dollars) a tripod (100ish dollars) and a dslr and lens which you might already have but if not (300ish dollars)

#

if you want to do visual you can get a decent 6 inch dobsonian for 400ish dollars

#

and then you can eventually do good planetary photography if you decide to get a camera

#

but definitely don’t go for any of the 100 dollar scopes on amazon, they’re all pieces of garbage

I started with that scope

fervent grail
#

do your own research about astrophotography, visual work, etc before you spend any money and set realistic expectations and a budget before you buy anything

quaint vortex
#

You’ll see the moon, andromeda and orion, though they’ll be patches of dust if you do visual, and the moon

#

and also jupiter’s moons, but aside from that, the scope can’t do much deep space

#

Wait are you wanting to take images?

#

Or just look at objects and do visual

true flint
#

Yh and some deep space aswell

quaint vortex
#

Taking images is much harder than simply doing visual since it requires extra equipment

true flint
#

Yh

quaint vortex
#

the base things you’ll need is a star tracker and a dslr with a lens/telescope

fervent grail
#

deep space photography will be nearly impossible without a good eq mount and that scope will be full of chromatic aberration and other imperfections which will show up more as you stack more images

#

yeah a star tracker and dslr will be much better

quaint vortex
#

if you want a basic star tracker that is roughly 400 usd, you can get the SWSA 2i

#

if you want the go to option, which lets you go to a target automatically, the cheapest one that is decent is the SWSA GTi, for 740

#

You can mount a dslr on it, like I do atm to take images which aren’t too bad once you learn how to take better images

#

do you have a dslr camera?

golden snow
#

So what does he want?

#

Not answering my question

fervent grail
#

he said deep space

golden snow
#

Budget?

#

Visual or photography?
