6.6 hours of LRGB
just over 3 hours of HA

Scope: Takahashi Epsilon E160-ED
Camera: ZWO ASI2600mm pro
Filters: Chroma Technologies LRGB and 3nm HA
Bortle 6ish area

Still sort of in progress, I can't decide if I should lessen the presence of the stars a bit more to bring out the Cocoon or if that's too much. Also any suggestions to bring out the dark nebula portion would be appreciated.

EDIT: Further updated image in the thread.

this might be the most majestic image i have ever seen

#

but

#

i think you should lessen the presence of the stars

#

although it might give the image a moor mejestic look.

#

less stars should make the cacoon pop out a lot more

Thanks! I agree, lessening the stars would definitely help it out a bit. I'll experiment with it after work tonight and update the thread with whatever I come up with.

I did a quick reduction of the stars and tried to pull out more of the dust on the dark nebula

#

probably went a bit too dark on the heart of the dark nebula

Oh are/did they do a cocoon project in the BAT? It’s been forever and a half since I checked any of those channels.

I had a pretty bad tilt issue on my focuser so I had to trim off the corners so idk if they’d be interested in my raw data
