GSO mirrors

So I found this company mentioned and decided to check it out, they do seem to be pretty good in terms of price per unit if aperture, now that I know what I know from building my refractor I'm excited to build something different and bigger, I'm thinking of saving up for this mirror because of its price per aperture and the fact that it falls within the range my existing field flattener is rated for.

Would have been cool to do a mak Newtonian or cass but the parts just don't seem to exist and to my knowledge need to be a matched set.

you need a coma corrector, not a field flattener for newts

yup you are right, i forgot field curvature and coma are different defects, one has to do with focus near the edges and the other is stars trailing near the edges if i recall correctly.

i know i need a coma corrector and a focuser with enough range to get the camera in/ near the focal plane which i will use a calculator for just so things are done correctly.

i am also thinking of the possibility of a 8 inch instead depending on the mount when it comes time.

Gso is well knowsn for good mirrors, they also build huge ass RC telescopes n stuff.
