Hi nerds,
I want to buy my first rig and am looking at some mounts. The astrobiscuit blog recommends the EQM-35 PRO GoTo and the EQ5 PRO GoTo. Where I would be buying them, they are 945€ and 989€, so I am wondering if the extra bit of money is worth it? I am also happy to hear other suggestions. I want the GoTo because I feel like I will use my scope more if I have it. I want to start with visual and also dip my toes into photography.
Thank you!🚀

What scope do you have, what are your goals, and is 1000 your max budget?
Probably the Skywatcher N 150/750 Explorer 150PDS. Astroshop sells it as a bundle with the eqm 35 mount for 1250€. Preferably I want to stay under 1000€, but if 250€ means I will use it more and enjoy it more I will spend it. More than that is over my budget though (for the whole telescope).
that seems like a good deal that seems like a good deal to me
youre going to need a few more things when you start doing deepsky iomaging tho
for planetary a camera is all ur gonna need
Get the pds not the p, you’ll need that fine focus till you get an autofocuser
The 150 pds is a great scope, it’s my main imaging rig
Does it come with the coma corrector?
I will, thanks👍🏼
Nope, but especially at the beginning I think that the coma will be the least of my concerns 😉
Thank you @little salmon
It’s fine if you’re not doing anything serious 🙂
