Did you do background extraction? I ran it through starnet++ but it wasn't very useful, or rather I wasn't able to benefit from it

I use pixinsight but yeah i did a DynamicBackgroundExtraction and Starnet 2 which allowed me to stretch it alot more without bloating stars (:

You just gotta do some histogram stretches/blackpointing till it looks good

yes, i've done that, and there is little to no separation between nebula and surrounding area
