I seem to have an issue using the background extraction in Siril. While it seems to remove gradients it also seems to aggressively enhance any noise and artefacts in the image. See my screenshots of before and after.
These are with the autostretch set so I wonder if the autostrech becomes more aggressive once the background is extracted and its not really enhancing noise at all? Any advice appreciated.

Quite normal for the autostretch to be stronger after a BGE but try these settings! Ive found they work really well aslong as you keep all the grid points off the intended target (: Hope this helps

No worries! (: I find Siril BGE can be really good sometimes but not as great other times just takes alot of faffing with settings XD

Yeah its hard to know how to tweek them all after a while you end up making it worse than the initial settings!
