I edited a little bit with Siril and Gimp but i couldnt remove the halos

Nice, yeah those halos are a a pain. I'd did a combo of spot healing then a mask to bring the starts back through

But besides that it was really easy and nice to process (: First time messing with hue in GIMP but just added it with my pix/siril workflow and worked really nicely for colours but thanks for sharing (:

Ohh nice job with the colours, yeah, I mean it was my first attempt after getting the filter and wanted to give it a spin. The subs were taken between clouds and I only managed about an hour of data but I'm glad I got it as its been solid cloud for 3 weeks.
I know the l-extreme struggled with halos but this was a tad more than I expected, ill look to work out a process to remove them and maybe sell this and get a different narrowband filter in future
Orion will be out of reach by the time its clear again I think so that'll be it for the horsehead this season, Ill move over to the rosette next weather permitting and see what I can do to reduce the noise with more data

Thanks! Yeah thats understandable i mean if im not wrong this also to me looks like more than usual halos, maybe a bad copy? Idk but still was nice! The noise is just integration time (And i have no good denoising rn) Sucks that orions gone but hey galaxy seasons here which is really nice! For me anyway lol i dont have a nebula scope sooo 😅 But overall was nice and fun to process but the noise is just integration time and the halos are just really unfortunate

Possibly is a bad l-extreme copy, I got it used from ebay so I expect someone else had issues and offloaded it.. Them the breaks I guess buying used

I use StarNet 2 in PixInSight to remove stars from the nebula but i believe siril uses starnet 2 aswell lol and yeah theres a good chance thats why they sold it lol but i can understand buying used i always see if i can save from buying used

Relatively new, I did some untracked images with my old dslr but got a alt-az gti for Christmas and bought a Uranus-c so this is my first with my new setup, I also took the same image before i got the filter and even with the halos Im so glad I got the filter, the difference is unbelievable from my B7 location

Nice! I think everyone did untracked at one point or another XD Uranus C is a nice cam i still use a DSLR lol may i ask what scope you use? B7 is quite hard to shoot from yeah

No scope yet, the legendary rokinon135 lens. I am aiming to emulate Rory's travel rig from his video so will be saving for the Tak FS-60 but for now the Roki 135 does an amazing job
