I’ve thought about this one also but the other one is cheaper
Anyone who would recommend any of these ones?
The first one is really bad, the second can actually help
The eq2 in general isn't great tbh
Wouldn't say that i could do 30s exposures at 300m with a eq1 with an eq1 drive like this
Yh idk I’m just a beginner
which one of the drives? if the first one I can only bow to you, I had it with my astromaster and never managed to do anything with it
The first one as a eq1 version...
That's a lot different then with a dslr and Lens
@narrow linden what gear do you want to use with it?
yeah dslr and lens is definitely easier to track
Huh? Sorry I’m pretty new do you mean how fast I want it to move or what?
Now if you want to do Astrophotography and with wich telescope camera etc on the mount
I’m don’t actually have a camera yet but I’m prob buying one sooner or later but idk which camera I should buy
Guys
What are your thoughts about this
I thought that I needed a continuous rotation of my telescope so this wasn't something I could get from and Eq2 so I did this
It really works nicely for me
Nice do you need to adjust it sometimes or does it follow the object smoothly
you don't need the motor on the dec, it doesn't have to move all the time
Yes so I live in a city so If I have some correction errors which I always have I just need to adjust the speed of the second one depending on it
Oh he has 2 on it? I didn’t see that
Yes the one which dose the roll is the main one
The second one which dose the yaw is for correction
if the dec has to run all the time then you polar alignment must be kinda bad
I have the moon 13 minutes on my eyepeace
But there's a issue with this
When I'm doing astro photography it's a little bit noisy
Because of vibrations but it's ignored by me
It's simply fixable by editing
But mastering phone astrophotography with this setup takes time
In this cases we mostly have to rely on getting more data than everyone else and be great at editing them properly otherwise we are left with a boring image
using a phone as main camera is very limiting on its own
that's not bad at all tho, considering the equipment
It's been two days that I'm gathering the data needed for a really revolutionary image for my self
Considering that two weeks later my exams are starting again
So that is stacked pics taken with your phone?
Isn’t terrible but there are cheaper and better alternatives.I would recommend looking for some 3d printed solution to attach a stepper motor that would provide better tracking
But it does require you to have some electronics and programming skills to figure it out
Yes
But after all depending on your setup and the type of your astrophotographing: (deep sky photographing ) or (planetary photographing) you can decide if you need to spend a lot for tracking or not .
