Sure give me like 5m and i can do it (:
U got a .tif stack?
stacked it in dss
idk why it has some kind of halos
Ahh umm i hate to sayyy... U may wanna restack it and save it as a .tif file as .JPEG are compressed which means all the fine details are gone and cant really do much with them
i cant send it as a tif
i need nitro
i have the tif file as well just converted it
U gotta use like Google drive or we transfer
np (:
now?
Yep ill begin processing now
@carmine tapir Didnt take too long tbf lol defo one of the widest field M51 shots ive ever seen/processed but you still had a little detail in there which is quite impressive! Well done on this one its not a perfectly easy target to go for especially this wide
Love it! When I took my first 2 min exposure and I saw a glimpse of it for the first time I was very happy. Didnt photograph a glaxy before. My biggest focal length is 200mm unfortunately ๐ฆ
But thank you so much for your help!!
Any time! I shall recommend shooting Andromeda as thats huge! i think itll look great ngl!
Its not that high unfortunately and the house and trees block the view, trying the comet next.
Ahh that sucks i cant see orion for long tbh it kinda sucks
Orion is my favorite constellation, now thats itsnot high enough as it was a few weeks ago I need to go elsewhere to photograph it
Its the same height for me but theres trees either side so i get like 40m to image and im F10 and 11 so pulling any data with that is really difficult
What focal length you shooting with?
2032 and 900
Yeah thats much more than mine
Yeah ๐ i want a 130PDS which is 500mm with the coma corrector
But i want a dedicated astro cam first although its very expensive ๐
I seen some used for much less, but without the corrector though
trust me coma with a PDS is quite bad id recommend getting a used on of those cos they have quite severe coma tbh
I feel like 500 is pretty reasonable for both
well without the corrector its 550mm
50mm is not a big differnce in my opinion at such a high magnification
No but coma
ill show u what i mean
Look at the stars in the middle of the image and the edges
and this was cropped so it was alot more severe
I see, its like stretched
Yeah elongated which is why when i do go for one id get a coma corrector which brings the focal length down a touch but no more stretchy stars
Whats causing the coma anyway?
The mirrors being bent to magnify it and the corrector does the same sorta bend but backwards to correct it
well
thats what ive always assumed
Got it
I dont have a telscope to use for astrophotography so I dont really have these problems lol
Sry i missed this earlier lol but lenses can have it too very few dont and yours seems to be one that doesnt (:
