Thinking about purchasing a DSLR camera for deep sky imaging and as someone who is relatively new in Astrophotography can anyone give me some suggestions?

If you only want it for astro, then how about looking for a second hand Canon (seems that software is more Canon friendly than any other make). This can be reasonably budget friendly and many places will modify them to make them even better for astro use.
