https://www.astroshop.eu/astronomical-cameras/omegon-camera-vetec-533-c-color/p,67319 this is the camera and its just a copy of the mc533, the only reason its cheaper for me is because im in europe, I'm not sure if there's anything else possibly faulty about it
#Should I buy the omegon equivalent to the zwo mc533?

I wonder why it's so much cheaper
Btw if you don't mind an uncooled sensor that apparently is really good for dso too there's the uranus-c
I think its cheaper cus zwo is imported from the states and theres a massive import tax from there, the 533 costs like 900$ in the states
If you're looking on the zwo store they don't include taxes
First Light Optics - Suppliers of Astronomy telescopes, binoculars and accessories from Skywatcher, Celestron, Meade, William Optics, Atik, Imaging Source, Starlight Xpress, ADM, Moonlite, Catseye, Hutech and others.
costs the same as on astroshop with the import tax from the uk
makes sense
then idk why it costs so much less
where are you trying to import too?
to slovenia
Some are less expensive because they don't have a "brand tax" like zwo
fair
aren't you going to have import taxies, no matter where you buy from
Depends on the country's import laws. Some have a minimum and maximum value for taxation.
Yea, but I don't think there's gonna be a difference in the import tax coming from the UK or Germany
Ah yeah I get what you're saying now
not if i buy from astroshop since im in the eu, the uk left the eu so thats why theres an insane 28% import tax
again germany in eu, uk not
i see
Cooled USB 3.0 color astro camera with powerful back-illuminated CMOS sensor for astrophotography in square format
this is the place most people recommend and its located in the EU.
in terms of the other camera based off the listing it should work fine, the only thing you would have to worry about is drivers
