Hello, I just purchased a Celestron 6SE on Amazon for $1000, but I just saw a craigslist posting for a Celestron 5SE for only $300 and new. Should I refund my 6SE order and go with the 5SE? I really want the larger aperture, but saving $700 would be nice.

if you don't mind the smaller aperture it's a nice deal, it's still a very capable scope

be sure to check the condition of the used scope, 300$ is suspiciously low

Are there certain things to look out for on a used Schmidt cassegrain telescope?

Also, the owner said he purchased the telescope for $700.
