Every time I try to install msys2 I get this error. Changing drives or location gives the same error. Retrying gives the same result as well.

That or just allow it in the exceptions.

I allowed the file in the exceptions but I got the same error

No idea. Either Windows Defender issue. Or, try to reinstall.

To be sure, make an exception for the whole C:\msys64 directory.

And make sure you don't have "mandatory ASLR" enabled.
