Well, someone also tested it on their own server as the only person there, and it doesn't hold very well. #steampunk message
The server's chunk loading is also painfully slow.

loading new chunks are slow too even though i'm the only guy playing on the server i'm in

it simply buffers sending the chunks and sends X per tick(based on config value)

ye that is not chunk sending, you'd see the closest chunks being loaded at a rate of 5 per tick
