Netherite-diamond is also not considered to be a top tier armor

Well I'm not that far in the modpack and I don't understand why people have to vote no, like it's a bad suggestion. If it's not something you want, just ignore it. I'd understand if it had a negative impact on the experience. I like to have progression and goals, it would add another goal to completing that set of armor instead of it just being there.

There's already progression and goals, if you want to know the top armors and builds and progression advice, ask in #1101995173430448208

Hey, I get you're trying to help, but that's not what I'm getting at. Talking about existing progression doesn't really address the issue here. I mean, obviously, there's progression in a modpack, right? But for newbies, the first thing they're after is diamond armor. Then they see upgraded Netherite stuff and go for that. But this Gilded armor? It's just there, not upgradable and worse than the top Netherite. Feels like a wasted opportunity. If there's a different concern, like it's not worth the effort or messes with something else, let's hear it. But bringing up unrelated points doesn't help.

The point is that when you are new and need progression advice, simply need to ask. We aren't going to go out of our way to make other armors better, especially when I made a bunch of armors better quite a while ago. There is a balance and it all depends on your playstyle, your class/build for your character. There's also so many armors in the game that we can't possibly make every single one really good. So the armors that were chosen to be upgraded got upgraded, and for a good reason as well. A ton of armors come with good bonuses, but you need to look up the mod/mods for them, or you can simply ask in the discord about progression as to not waste time/make a "mistake" in building your character.
