created a very insane redstone contraption to test the mod
will give results shortly
without mod:
no redstone contraption: 160~ fps (no spark profiler since doesn't matter)
with redstone contraption: 90-100 fps https://spark.lucko.me/kr0fGIrZpx
with mod:

with redstone contraption: 90-100 fps https://spark.lucko.me/uxsBf623US
world seed: 7343205727232311890
overall considerations: very little performance improvement, seems realistically 0. I imagine there needs to be a very very large redstone creation for any reasonable impact to be seen (maybe ill grab a redstone map to test). no negative performance impact, seems stable.
yeah it seems to be pretty situational
but i'd imagine it'd help with some more intensive redstone structures that generate or are player-created

Testing these two maps, one of them is significantly insanely large than the other
clock map:
mod: 160-220 fps when spamming buttons https://spark.lucko.me/bs4Vxeg4Rs
without mod: 90-120 fps when spamming buttons https://spark.lucko.me/SucPyWyQNE
minesweeper:
mod: 100-140 fps when spamming buttons https://spark.lucko.me/0pKGMCjikT
without mod: 100-120 fps when spamming buttons https://spark.lucko.me/FJUrjjju8N
i think i broke the minesweeper map by spamming buttons so those results might not be too accurate. that being said, i can easily see the benefit with the mod on a slightly larger redstone contraption
