It's a bit unusual to see it expand that much, especially over a structure that sorta just looks like a nice house. There's not much you can do to help it if you want space though, you'd either have to adjust the structure or change the width of the base of the tower, which might look too big for the structure anyways. Difficult to get the proportions right in Minecraft, if it is proportional and the build is normal sized, there's usually not enough space inside. I'm even struggling for space inside my tower, even though that was bigger, and I already adjusted it to make a bit of room.
Despite all that, it is just Minecraft though, and that can easily allow for builds that diverge from things seen in real life, I think the tower can be really cool ( it's not that disproportional either, I thought 2 blocks extension from the sides of the tower made it too top heavy at first but it looks cool ). I'm eager to see what it'll look like when it's done.

I'm doing some server maintenance so the server will be down for a little bit.

I'm moving it over to Aternos so that you guys can keep playing while I'm traveling. If you guys are happy with the Aternos hosting, then we might just leave it there to avoid random IP changes. So keep track of server performance for the next week or so.

Hm... I don't know if Aternos is going to be viable.

It shuts down the server if nobody is online after 5 minutes

And the only way to turn it back on is to start it from the Aternos interface.

Which would mean that people would have to request that it be turned on AND that I would have to see that request AND that I was in a spot where I could turn it on.

I'll check into other server options later.

If it's only amongst a few people that you know well, you can give everyone permission to start the server but that's not the case here.
Maybe you can allow a few specific people to turn on the server, so that you're not the only one who needs to be asked for it.

If you're willing to do that

Though even then there's a chance people might not be able to join the server when they want to, so maybe there's a better option.
