Plenty of time to figure this all out in PTR
"Plenty of time..."
Sometimes āsoonā even sounds better. š„¹
Plenty of time soon
Imminently š
I tease. I'm really glad the team isn't rushing this out.
@modern ploveris airdrop ZINK distribution planned before the release of PTR C4 ?
@modern plover my ticket is not solved yet, it's almost 1 MONTH + time for opened ticket!
No. We should have C4 mainnet, zink genesis, and conclusion of the O.rigin season all at the same time.
@modern plover @autumn frost Please do check this feedback post, in case you missed it: #š¾āholosim message
NDR has been one of our faction leaders involved since day 1 of Holosim ch.2.
C4 mainnet means PTR?
Mainnet is the official launch. PTR will run on z.ink testnet
Where does that put the zink airdrop roughly, Q3, Q4?
Q1 or Q2.
hopefully within Q2
I'll stress again though, the airdrop is going to come with pretty significant vesting timelines to receive the full amount. Slashing for early claim with the balance rolling into the pool for people who choose to vest longer.
I think we'll probably distribute 5% up front, and 95% over 6+ months
is there any other incentive planned for people to keep staking (or whatever) to minimize sell pressure?
Circulating supply is going to be pretty limited. However, the inflation rate is highest in the first two years -- pretty significant exponential decay function on inflation -- which should incentivize delegating stake. Also, people that want to run a validator will need to buy tokens to do so
Otherwise, people that need to transact on the network will also need to buy tokens. First with the SA userbase, but we're also targeting a few launch partners for defi and other dapps
Me too
Q2 26 sounds pretty aggressive I better up my Z.ink air drop game. Staked Polis seems to be a good yield strategy.
He didn't actually say 26
If you go off the fiscal calendar Q2 2026 is already over lolz
He might be using a calendar system from another specie or civilization.
He didn't say 27 either.
Try 7 months
Is this information in some document or technical report/White Paper? I think we need something like that to publicize the network to as many people as possible, especially those who are not yet familiar with the project.
Will probably put a litepaper together. low priority
Do you really think the priority of this document is low?
I genuinely ask this because, of the people I've talked to in the last 5 years that I've been part of the community and asked "what is the main reason you decided to participate in the project?", 3 out of 5 answer me "the incredible whitepaper" or "the detailed tokenonomics".
The BTC today is only what it is because it started with the initial manifesto. I may be a bit old-fashioned, but a good document (even if it doesn't cover 100% of what the project aims to do) would greatly help in the growth and dissemination of the network.
Yeah, I do. 99% of people don't read white papers. There isn't much to write about in terms of innovation. It's an L1 blockchain modeled after Solana. A lot of our identity layer is in early stage theoretical design. And we've published documentation on tokenomics, which is what most people are interested in.
== litepaper
In terms of "marketing material," it's one of the lowest value add items to work on
Can confirm. And the times I've read them it's been absolutely useless. Too technical or too dreamy. How often do they actually survive the build phase? 1%?
13 years in the space and I've probably read 5 white papers outside of the SA one
Nobody cares. Once it's listed on exchanges, people figure out what it's about by asking questions on social media or discord
The main benefit I could see in this day and age is potentially for surfacing in AI search queries. Personally, more and more Iām using AI search to locate and learn more about companies.
i must say,i read powerful SA whitepaper and impress , then decided to invest this project in 2021. u are not wrong, 99% of people don't read white papers but they watch youtube review that mention the white paper
You could probably get 99% of a āwhite paperā done in 1 prompt
@hybrid gale would love it an generated white paper.
we have. needs a lot of editing though
as long as you don't write the prompts
Ngl.... I didn't read the SA white paper. Or Solana. Or Hype. š . I may have read some parts of SA but you had already produced a ton of writing content and blogs that I didn't really need to read the white paper. Or it was partially outdated by that point.
Why are we still using white papers? Shouldn't we at least be using white pdfs, let alone white .md files that the AIs can turn into white videos.?
From a conversation between me and my friend:
Unless they implement a zero-tolerance policy and ban alts from the ground up, this game is fundamentally DOA. They shouldn't just target alts; main accounts need to be nuked as well. Without firm resolve, the game will quickly devolve into a lawless free-for-all. No reputable RTS in the world ignores or sanctions multi-accounting. Even without a direct mechanical edge, indirect advantages shatter the game's balance. Restricting inter-account trading is a mere facade; in practice, indirect benefits still trickle through. Besides, this game is built on Peer-to-Peer (P2P) trade. How far can you realistically restrict that? In your economy-driven version, the entire system is built on this very pillar.
This environment is a blatant injustice to single-account players. Professional schedule aside, even with infinite leisure, why should I be forced to manage 4-5 accounts? Itās an absurd design flaw. They are cornering legitimate players into multi-accounting just to stay competitive. To any outsider, the verdict is immediate: The fish rots from the head. If developers turn a blind eye to multi-accounting, the project is fundamentally compromised and unplayable.
Another issue is systemic imbalance. Beyond multi-accountingās damage, we see massive over-concentration in specific factions. USTUR has been left completely isolated. As an ONI player, I wouldn't want to be an USTUR right now. What was the rationale behind stripping LP (Loyalty Points) from core mechanics? Wasnāt the LP system meant to check-and-balance faction populations? Donāt take this wrong, but your game concept is solid while the execution and mentality are flawed. You have the right product, but the wrong vision.
Do we know what the rewards for the first part of chapter 2 will be?
yes
Is this about Holosim, or SAGE?
I think I agree with you in general in context of Holosim. A single account players is handcuffed due to crew limit. A multi-account player does not have that restriction. Crew Limit is a huge nerf for a single account player. Smart players started with alts from the beginning. I was not smart. š
Yes .....and ......š
Help me understand.
What advantage does an extra account give you as an individual in Holosim?
I get the faction advantage of bigger numbers.
Oops. Just realized this was FR. We can continue in FR chat.
Not Sage. Holosim
People don't read white papers, you're right.
People do like learning there is a white paper though.
It can play a part in narrative-driving
This topic has been philosophized at great length over the last 5 years.
We aren't an RTS. We are an MMO-RTS. The best sandbox mmos allow alts because the gameplay is designed such that they don't break the game.
You say you don't want to be forced to have 4 or 5 accounts. I appreciate where that comes from, I get it. However you feel that pressure because you seek to be a top performer. You don't have to be a top performer in a sandbox mmo.
Say it remains true, you need 5 accounts to be competitive. In this sandbox it is possible to be having fun and making a return on your input capital while not being competitive with the top players.
We actually need players like this, who only run 1 or 2 accounts, in order to see real success for the project imo. But that doesn't mean ban players with 5 accounts imo
@modern plover with the c4 launch, is there any asset sale event planned?
Yeah, weāre pulling a little something together
Anything that guarantees an anomaly Punaab or maybe a snow globe
Is there any horizon for the date of the end of the O.rigin season?
Nothing definitive yet. Weāll let you know as we close in
Beginning of the year you shared that Zink is at 60% completion. What would be your assessment today?
He's gunna say 80%
69.426%
81%
Blockchain side is pretty close. Testnet has been up and running officially for a few months, bridge work nearly complete, claims and vesting portal in testing. The less certain piece is lining up C4 mainnet launch with network genesis, which I consider a hard requirement to bootstrap the network
I will take it.
Release when it is ready. We can wait. The last 19% can take as long as the first 81%. š
done
Any Friday sneak peaks lurking around waiting to be dropped?
Sure, Danny is cooking something up
You know it's gonna be GOOD wen SW4G drops an Evil Purple Pepe Super Reaction
It looks really promising :3
The new UI looks amazing. Great work, and thanks for the peek!
Have a great weekend.
@rapid cliff will there be any tech research in c4 or ue5 in the future?
Hey guys, first of all, thanks for the sneak peek, its awesome, huge improvement in UI/UX compared to current SAGE, well done!!
Then, the real question: I noticed Danny could load ATLAS from his wallet to a Starbase. Does this mean we cannot spend ATLAS in Local Market unless we physically move atlas from Wallet to CS and from the CS to that specific Starbase? Does this go the same for Claim Stakes rent?
Thank you, have a nice week end! š«
@rapid cliff We need not get a glimpse of automation similar to Holosim. Is that going to be a future feature in C4 rather part of PTR?
yep part of council rank there's a bunch of stuff that is upgradable and unlockable. playing in god mode in the video.
i'm not sure it's supposed to be wired up like that for everything but will check later when more relevant. i think it has to be like that for topping up rent to pay crafting hab/cs rent. very focused right now on flow and ui cleanup so saving some of those details for ironing out later.
it's definitely a feature planning for C4 at some point, the scaffolding is there but not meant to be an immediate add
Yeah, that was most likely your local vault for claim stake rent. ATLAS is not intended to be transported around the map
Yeah I asked it to make that local vault flow clearer and it jammed some new stuff in the port of entry. While okay thatās working I think Iāll move it to just the Habs/claims context to not confuse in POE
@modern plover is there a reason why you don't say what the holosim rewards are or when we'll get them? Are we waiting for external sponsors?
just not really that important
... Ehm, to some I think it is š (not me, could not keep up on the leaderboard)
can we at least know when the rewards will be distributed?
I asked AI & according to them u can't
...couldn't shake off the feeling they were somehow biased against u on some personal level
THIS is what happens when we drop Michael out of top 10. š«£š¤£
I asked my A.I. agent and it said "426" does anyone know what that means?
It does look like a Trump answer about Epstein files after the election š
My all time same and legitimate question is what about the status on getting the possibility to change our primary wallet and getting the zink rewards we had missed all this time
for real
@rapid cliff - just a clarifying question:
-
for higher tier resources, the SB needs to match that level in order to access them correct (I.E. A tier 5 resource requires a T5 SB level)?
-
And does the claim stake need to match that level also? (I.E. A tier 5 resource requires a T5 CS?
- correct
- for specialized extractors of the newly unlocked higher tier resources the CS does need to match to get those buildings. but any cs hub tier should be able to get the trickle of all unlocked resources from the sb upgrades.
we have until october to be ready to piggyback on this https://x.com/DiscussingFilm/status/2049821620567482571?s=20
New teaser for the Star Wars racing game āSTAR WARS: GALACTIC RACERā.
Releasing on October 6.
But can I buy and rent out a Millennium Falcon?
Hey @rapid cliff
Will CSS Habs be needed and also craftable for Clamstakes?
Also, do you need land, Like CSS 1-5 for claim stakes? Or is that a completely different deliverable after C4?
nope, they're different systems. habs are needed for crafting habs not claim stakes. and no you don't need land for CSS, just the the claim stake item. The plots are there to claim once you have those in your inventory.
any th planned soon?
Anything planned soon? Lol
Can I at least find out something?
What are you searching for?
We are getting close.
If you say that again... I swear to Iris...
Would you rather the penguin lie?
Or keep you in the depths of the unknown?
I can do both, or even offer a third option
But it won't change the fact that we are getting closer.
sneak peeks?
Donāt really have anything new to leak right now
Leak more pizza pics

Pad kaphrao pizza
That sounds Thai
& it is most probably blatant pizza heresy
but going by the crust alone it would appear that u've pretty damn well mastered the dough
Guilty on both counts. But I did what I did
And to make matters worse, the āsauceā was crĆØme fraiche. Blame instagram
U should try using much less cheese also don't do Parmigiano only use mozzarella pizza is all about less so keep it pure & simple
y is this channel on slow mode does that make any sense
this is what being Chet Roberts must feel like
Anyway I think u solved the toughest part the rest is probably cultural preference. Well done ser

so the dough is already perfect, I can see it, I assume u've rested it for 48hrs
but b/c it's so good u can actually well afford to flatten it much much thinner & ideally u don't want to bake it for any longer than thirty seconds if u can hit 800°C sorry I don't speak liberty units
The original pizza at naples
Sorry, but as a good Italian, I can't help but argue. In the wood-fired oven you can do about 400 degrees for 70/90 seconds so you have the right cooking both above and below.
For cheese the better is buffalo mozzarella
I'm German I don't claim the pizza crown.
However I still believe myself well positioned enough to give this American some cultural advice.
4 years ago in was live in Goch, i remember the good kebab
That's the greatest insult I've ever suffered in my life & I've survived Bryan calling me cancer
U can ask the ~4M Turks that live in my country they'll all confirm there's zero legit Kebab in Germany
ahahaahha but you only have those buddy.
That sounds positively delicious! Mixing two of my favorite dishes here š¤š
Leak analysis. Running it through my Ovaltine decoder ring it said "Buy more Polis"

Some big savings if we are using the SPL token program. š„
Introducing P-Token: an optimized rewrite of the SPL Token program for Solana, now live on mainnet. Token instructions are about 96% cheaper in compute, freeing 12-13% more block space for the network without altering block limits š§µ
Jhc that looks good
It was pretty damn good. I like to make pad kaphrao with a rice noodle usually, saw this recipe and ran with it. I ended up going a little too heavy with the oyster sauce on the pizza, but was still pretty killer.
This is the state of the market.
need to look into this
It's an automatic upgrade to anything that uses the token program. I don't see a whole lot that you actively need to do except you might be able see how much cash you/players are saving now and also potentially do more complex multi sig TX if this freed up some CU.
bros, things may look tough, but we'll get there, keep cooking, don't give up š
I am not clear on if claim stake's can be upgradeable. If I have a tier 2 can it ever be a tier 3? I think I read here that it can not but Grok is telling me it can be upgraded this is a quote from Grok "Tier 1 claim stakes are explicitly upgradeable all the way to Tier 5, according to recent confirmation from CEO Michael Wagner. This is planned for SAGE C4 terrestrial gameplay.
aephia.com"
They aren't upgradable to new tiers. They can be upgraded within the tiers but not to a new tier.
That was indeed the idea, once upon a time.
The team has more recently shared that this won't be the case anymore.
There is no one clear source for this, it was mostly in response to questions about that specific topic.
Just confirming, no tier-based upgrades. Buildings and structures within a fixed claim stake can be outside of the tier size of that claim though
Hi, Will the refuel ships have some gameplay on c4? I mean something like a probability ,with Scan , to find some abandoned npc ship fuel empty, to refuel and take back , or some refueling contract mission?
@rapid cliff
Should cargo "weight" be replaced with "mass" or "size"?
Seems that weight should be less restrictive with space travel. If not, could you share your reasoning there?
Thanks š (and only answer if you have time - I don't want to slow you down š
yeah been using units in my designs, if you're seeing weight it's probably just a quick fill, where did you see that?
Oh, that "weight" idea has been in the discussion for a long time. I haven't seen "weight" in SES lately, but I assumed that was still the paradigm.
Glad to hear that you're adjusting that concept. Thanks! š«”
i love this last @modern plover words brew "see you very very very soon"...š“āā ļø
Damn guys you are killing it! These sneak peaks look incredible. But looking like something exciting and fun to play
can I leak this to S&B to make them salty they irish-exited us & abandoned me like I'm some sort of trash
MRZ-20 is out of Carbon. Please refill.
(and please also refill the FICs for ONI ā¤ļø )
It was refilled yesterday
MRZ-22 is out of Carbon and in MUD MRZ-05 is out of Carbon. Please refill.
It has been done
Will the recipe on exiting components change in C4?
What does this mean?
Question is, are the requirements of the raw resources the same for crafting existing components in C4 as they are in SAGE
No. Not even remotely the same.
Essentially all recipes are going to be redefined, and there are (I think) 108 new resources in the game.
Hey team. Looks like something went wrong with the zink dashboard. Several players reporting their reward progress got reset (the new stuff that has 30 levels and gives some items towards C4).
Should be refilled shortly.
Are you still seeing this?
Just checked, it's fixed. š
Question about zProfile:
Will it be possible to take two wallets that have earned XP in the same faction and combine their XP to be used within one zProfile "player"?
For instance, I have two wallets that have been earning XP in ONI, but I'd like to consolidate those into one ONI account/wallet (player profile?) for use in the Council Rank skills tree.
Will this be an option, possibly?
You can link multiple wallets playing SAGE to your zProfile and earn zXP from them. However, if you're asking if you can consolidate two SAGE accounts down to one for the purposes of XP migration into C4, the answer is no. We set daily limits on SAGE account XP accrual intentionally. Letting people consolidate accounts would circumvent that restriction. You will, however, have two C4 accounts that are bootstrapped with XP at the start.
Refilled btw.
You guys going to be streaming live on X or YouTube?
I'm pretty sure star atlas TV will do it, on YouTube
@modern plover there is one issue regarding C4 PTR that worries me a lot if it isnāt well focused in the future: the overwhelming complexity of the game. Itās neither good nor bad that a game is more or less complicated, what matters is how it manages to engage the player in the plot. Either through missions that make you learn dynamics or through classic tutorials (less effective and more boring). I think itās an undeniable priority that this issue must be treated with the highest importance, because C4 can be a technological feat on-chain, but if it isnāt engaging AND addictive it will never succeed. Let's imagine that there is no incentive in the game, just the pleasure of spending some time playing, would there be many players willing to spend hours and hours in front of the screen just for pleasure? I think that right now the answer is a resounding NO, there is great potential in everything presented in the TH, but itās of extreme importance to make it addictive for the players
This is arguably a better comment to direct to @rapid cliff, but let me offer some feedback here. I'm just going to start with the complexity topic, and how the level of complexity is actually essential for a product like SAGE. And in particular, the SAGE economy. Deeply complex layers of game systems like we now have in C4 will provide pockets of opportunities for players to engage in specific mechanics and establish a niche for themselves. We've commented on this in the past, but people are not supposed to be able to do everything in SAGE. These new mechanics now make it possible for players to specialize in a field and compete with others on specific loops, instead of game wide. Secondarily, SAGE is a persistent RTS/4X MMO. It isn't intended to be played through in a day. Higher complexity will result in more durability in the game. More reason to play for longer while people try to achieve all of the things they can. All while we're adding new content and mechanics.
That said, I wholeheartedly agree that complexity alone isn't fun. And we're cognizant of the fact that it can be overwhelming. This is what Danny was stressing on the Town Hall. Typically you don't launch a game and put people straight into end-game content. That's what you have now in PTR. Just an overwhelming amount of options available to you without having to organically progress through the game. We left godmode on š . I'm comfortable with this approach because you all have been engaging with our products for years. You've played SAGE from Escape Velocity through Starbased. You have the basics of how-to-play locked in. But it's just PTR. By the time we exit PTR, we should have tutorials, storyline missions, daily missions, bounties, etc. Ways for people to engage every day, and a process that will walk people through the mechanics at the start.
And we are focused on the fun-factor. While I still believe our audience can be diverse, and I personally still believe in the financial incentive model underlying P2E, we ultimately want to build something that people enjoy playing. That's how we grow the userbase. That's how we bring fresh capital into the ecosystem. And that's how we ultimately drive trade volume/GDP in the economy. What you're looking at right now is a test of the fundamental game mechanics to make sure things work. It is far from the final product. It's a new starting point. Where I ultimately think players will have the most fun is through Territory Control and Combat systems. However, this is a strategy game. A lot of your time will be spent preparing for those big moments. That means mining, harvesting claim stakes, crafting or buying stims, building up fleets, and organizing with your allies to position yourself for those big events. And this is all going to tie in with the Conquest mode in UE5 (eventually).
That said, we welcome your feedback through the in-game ticketing system. Let us know what you want to see, where you think the game can improve, and what you don't like. We're going to be scraping through those reports every day to make improvements to the game. And otherwise, Danny might have some additional feedback on where this goes in future phases of development.
Oh yeah, this is a given. My disclaimer at the beginning that this isn't a launch of a game maybe wasn't clear enough. Imagine if someone explained and showed you every single thing you can do and interact with in Crimson Desert all within 1 hour. Your brain would melt through your ears. Now instead what if no one explained anything and you just started playing it from the start. That's the proper player journey, what we showed and what's playable now isn't tuned for a player journey. It's tuned for testing all game mechanics. If we had you testing the player journey no one would make it to the end game within out testing window and we won't know if end game is borked or not. So, some people may not be used to what QA testers have access to when they test these games, but it's a very different experience than a FTUE (first time user experience) test, which this is not. Later in PTR we will have some FTUE journeys where players won't get large airdrops of advance game assets (atm, they're getting the most powerful ship in the game immediately). So, would appreciate more FTUE styled feedback once the player journey is actually there.
Oh, now I better understand the intention behind PTR. I was shocked by so much information, as I had a story line and something progressive in mind. Understanding PTR as a total testing environment, it makes total sense to me now. Thanks for such detailed answers.
P.S. Congratulations again on the beautiful design
Right on, glad I was able to explain that better this time around. Sorry to inundate everyone during the townhall but hopefully was helpful anyway
And thank you!
Just want to give you and everyone involved THE HIGHEST PRAISE for the amazing DEEP WORK, vision and creativity that has gone into C4.
It's deep... beautiful... engaging and it's undoubtably going to be the greatest 4X of all time!
And thank you for letting us put some energy and effort into polishing it.
Blood is definitely dripping out of my ears.
But it's a good bleed.
SO...
MUCH...
GOODNESS...
Regarding "C4 is complex":
This is actually a good thing.
The main problem currently is that the game just throws you into the experience without explaining anything.
But this is solvable and since it needs a lot of time, it just wasn't a top priority. You need the game (and in the best case also player feedback) anyway before you can think of UI improvements and tutorials.
So I'm pretty sure we will see these things in the upcoming months.
Professor Calico reporting for duty. @mighty umbra
I also want to point out.... It hasn't even been 12 hours. The whole "learning the game" thing is still happening. It will get easier.
Game is great and I am loving it...putting that out there first. However one of the biggest disappointments is how small the world feels because of travel times. You created this monster of a map with all these systems, but it only takes about an hour to subwarp across an entire faction. Moving to deep space should be a tremendous effort. I would have expected 24hr+ times to relocate so far away. The map just feels WAY too small because of the travel times. Please make them a LOT longer...it's an easy fix to make the map feel soooo much larger.
I was under the impression that they shortened the travel times on purpose for the PTR.
I hope this is true, because indeed, the fleets move too fast currently.
Would it be beneficial to find a way to establish a link between C4 PTR and SES? I know it's too early for much-needed tutorials, but some way to guide players on where to focus and how to shine with friendlier interactions could help. I found SES to be a much more friendly experience than my first encounter with C4.
@rapid cliff I agree with Drum. Would be cool if you could flip flop from C4 to the SES type views.
The SES is kinda the ultimate top down view and allowed me to see some patterns that would be almost impossible to see using the new UI.
