#How does PvP protection work?

Because I know that if you stay level 49 and not advance to 50 you will get immunity from PvP, or safe zones.
But what is weird that on boss spawns areas there is written that should be PvP protection on those areas, but it only occur when the boss spawns.
I'm a returner and bringing sometimes with me a new player to Garmoth for example but there are constantly player killers that appear 5 min before Garmoth spawns and after he spawns there is PvP protection and they just disappear and not even participate on taking down the boss.
I do want to show the new player the game but I don't want him to suffer because of some random player killers, any suggestions?

Honestly, just go level 50.

I'm not saying that we're not above 50, that's the issue, that the new guy getting killed in an instant because of a low gear score of a new player

Staying at 49 is pointless. Yeah, there's the odd idiot who might kill someone at a boss, but it's not that often

actually it is often ^^;

Then if it's that often you can do one of two things:
Don't go to the boss until at least 5 - 10 minutes before spawn and stay by the node manager (easy to do in Garmoth's case)
Attend the world boss on a different server.

Try other server groups then. There's really and truly nothing you can do to avoid it, except not going to bosses at all (which is stupid cuz why screw yourself out of something cuz of some fucker KEKW ).
