Pet's Won't Pickup Loot?

I was recently at Highlands duoing one of those spider machines with a friend. His pets were picking nearly everything up while my pets barely picked up anything at all . I'm wondering why this might be happening.

Things I checked:
-all five pets are T4 with a T5. They were fed, agile, and fetch was turned on. All pets have 1.8s pickup cooldown
-I had enough space and weight in my inventory

It didn't matter if he was party leader or not, but we did notice that there were party member controls missing; i.e. the controls that specify who gets all the loot.

He does more damage than me, but I can certainly do the spot on my own if I wanted to, just a bit slower.

What could be the problem?

Its not a party spot, so if you both attack the same "spider", the one whose pets get to the loot first get and the other doesn't get anything since its anot a party spot.

Hi there, thanks for the reply.

My pets are faster than his, but even if they weren't he shouldnt be able to pickup everything that was dropped because 1.8 seconds isn't enough time to collect everything. There was loot on the floor waiting to be picked up that he eventually got when his pets were off cooldown.

Didn't they remove that alltogether and now only the person doing the kill can loot?

I figured there must've been more changes to the system since the party controls were removed, but I searched all the recent patch notes going back to October last year and didn't see anything. Perhaps I missed it.

So to your knowledge, only the person who gets the last hit is allowed to loot?

Not 100% sure about the details, but as far as I know its first come, first served. Though there is some time limit when the loot becomes free for the taking since people have gotten treasure pieces by looting other peoples loot.

Guess it's been a while since I've been in a PvE party

Very disapointing. PA doing everything it can to stop people from being together in this game.

the other people loot was before the party loot changes / them removing special deals, I'm 99% certain its not possible anymore, at all

Yeah. The loot settings haven't existed for a while now. The non setting details are a bit hazy. Or at least I haven't heard any concrete testing or details.

Yeah. I assumed as much, but to what extend is the question. Like is it impossible to loot other peoples loot completely? does it free up anymore? Is there timer for the previously mentioned stuff? And so on.

The July 16th Patch says, "Changed so other adventurers can no longer loot from monsters defeated by your character after a certain period of time had passed."

the pick up time is the cd when the pet pick up again - technicly who stays closer to the loot will get it - just as info

No problem. My friend and I are trying to figure out how to play this MMO together now 🙄 so I'm skimming through all the notes to see what other inconveniences PA has in store for us, lul.

Got to play the Duo Grind spots if you want to duo. Or grind 2 nearby "spiders" together and yap in discord VC or something. Dehkia Turos is a excellent Duo spot if you need one.

Does the game explicitly label what is a duo spot or not? Even if it does, do we know if those spots support ordered looting? I didn't see anything in the recent patches about how loot is treated in duo spots.

It does. There are also party of 3 spots, like Olun's Valley and Mirumoks, and a single party of 5 spot Upper Gyfin. You can see them in the Monster Info ingame if you click select the Party zones. The details will be mentined as a Hashtag when you click the grind spot

As for party loot, you just need to tag the mobs to get loot from them. And of course be close enough to loot them.

Non party spots (to my knowledge) base the owner of the loot by the person that does the most damage. If you have <51% of the damage it’s your loot.

Turo’s is a great duo spot, make sure to setup crystals for their CC though.

All zones are labeled if party zone and how many. If there is no label then it’s a single player spot.

Check out the “Monster zone info” in your main menu. You can sort by tags such as “party spot” or “Agris Spot” etc…

@tame mountain you mixing up games - its in some other games with the damage of loot but its not in bdo like this
