Kuno, Lahn, or Awa Ranger

New player here. I'm looking for a class with:

• High APM / room for skill expression
• 1v1 PvP potential
• World exploration perks / general mobility

How do these classes compare with one another?

ninja, tamer, kuno (not a lot of people play kino though) are the first classes that come to mind

i think any class could fit your world exploration perk, since we all get a free horse now

If you’re new I would recommend Meahwa or Musa. I personally main a Succession Musa for several reasons….

1. Unmatched mobility, RMB is a “chase” getting you around very fast.

2. Great single target and large AOE potential.

3. Low skill ceiling to get started.

4. High punishing skill ceiling to be an expert.

5. Endless choices of combinations and/or order of skills. (His kit revolves around the idea that half of your skills give you a “blue buff” to be able to cast and recast his most powerful skills)

6. Great duelist, lacking a grab though on pc and console. Has one on mobile though :/ patience is his key, get the catch CC and high burst dmg.

Awa Ranger chase is very short compared to Meahwa or Musa’s. However she has a grab like mechanic. Also some ranged poke dmg in her succession kit… very bursty dmg as well.

Ninja and Kuno excel at lower mob density spots, movement is more based off using many skills to cover distance instead of a dedicated chase type of mechanic.

If I were to rank some suggestions in my bias order….

1. Succ Musa
2. Succ Meahwa = Awak Ranger
3. Succ Lahn
4. Awak Nova
5. Either Awak or Succ Dosa
6. Succ Zerker
7. Tamer = Ninja

Not a Kuno fan, her kit doesn’t feel right to me. Great artwork, lore, cosmetics…. Just gameplay feels odd….

On a side note, guardian while a slower class is very pleasant to play. Start with awakening and learn succession. Her succession gameplay is double or triple the APM of Awakening with more combos and mobility. Great “get your foot in the door” class. Equal to Musa at being newer player friendly while having new ways to improve for a long time to come.

very helpful, thank you for the recs! I actually just made trial characters and felt exactly what you meant regarding kuno -- the mobility felt restricted to bursts. I really like the constant dashing awa ranger has

I'll definitely look into maehwa/musa since they share that trait

Try Meahwa and Musa before you commit.

Awak nova has a much higher barrier to entry than Musa or Meahwa too.

Also since your new both Meahwa and Musa have abilities to refill hp and mp on a 20s CD (I don’t think any other class has that)

Until you farm out your infinite potions you’ll want those skills. Also they both are some of the best life skiller classes to have because of “chase”.

If you liked awakening rangers chase imagine that distance doubled and faster. That’s Meahwa’s and Musa’s “gimmick” epic movement….

On a side note, I mained Lahn for a long time. Her movement is fantastic too. Not as “endless” as the twins Musa/Meahwa but her gimmick is breezy steps to FLY!!!! She can get to places others cannot, in addition she has a skill that’s endless to be able to “sprint” without using stamina which will help tons too.

Lahns awakening has a double chase on like a 3s CD, but it heals you when you use her chase.

Both succ and Awak can fly.
