Im considering BDO, wondering if you can do chill stuff with other players like farming, hunting, building stuff or would those kinds of things be pretty much single player activities?

Outside of PVP, BDO is for the most part a solo experience, the group content is very far and few between. Its a few group grind spots and weekly dungeons and guild bosses but that is about it.

There is obviously world and field bosses but people dont usually make groups for those and simply leave an alt where they spawn so they can just change characters when a boss spawns.

I find that a good comparison would be RuneScape where you are free to do whatever you want whenever you want without getting punished for it. There is just a lot less content to do with other players as I've mentioned. Its a game where self motivation is key. The grinds for certain things can take dozens if not hundreds of hours.
