Would 290 ap 340 dp Archer be enough for Giants?
or should I stick with orcs?

40 DP under the recommendation is quite a lot and you are only 10 AP above the recommended. They are not extremely difficult to kill, especially when you go fully buffed, and you should go fully buffed (with human dmg).
Elvia Giants can easily start swarming you and without the proper DP, they are going to kill you quickly because they do hit hard.

I’m going to say I don’t think I would grind Elvia Giants in your situation. Even though you’re ranged, I think you’re going to have a whole lot of close calls. If you want to try out a few minutes for yourself, go for it, just don’t get hit. 😄
