you can then upgrade via several pathways depending on your play style, you can enhance, buy a fresh piece from marketplace at PEN, or do jetina dailies for a guaranteed path to PEN
All are viable ways and different people prefer differ ways so just choose what feels easiest to you
Side note: the magnus story will give you a free PEN gear item so please do that if you have not, it’s all story based so lots of talking to NPCs and puzzles
After you get all of your gear to PEN you will work on upgrading to the slumbering origin set which is a different beast
