I've been watching tutorials but, it's just confusing. Just a bunch of rambling and clicking black stones and armor pieces

Enhancing may be bit confusing at start, but it is much simpler than it sounds.

Failstacks is function that increases your next Enhance % chance. Also known as FS.

Every time you fail enhance your Failstack will increase (if you dont use Cron stone protection)
Also when ever your fail enhance on Armor/Weapon the Enhance lvl will lower by 1 if the gear is above PRI (+16)

Higher enhance lvl your gear is, the higher Failstack you need.
So with guides and other players helps you can narrow down that what FS size is good for what item.

You can also increase your FS with Valk's Cry items up to FS+10. Very useful.

When enhancing Accessories (ring, earring, belt, necklace)
You will need base lvl to increase other.
In example:
Base + Base = PRI
Base + PRI = DUO
Base + DUO = TRI
and so on.
IF you fail accessory enhance both of them will be destroyed.
Cron Stones will protect the one you are trying to upgrade, but it may still lose an enhance lvl.

Few key things in enhancing:

  • NEVER use Cron Stones on Naru-named gear
  • Not recommended to use Cron Stones on Tuvala gear either.

Helpful tools:

  • Naderr's Band, obtained at lvl 58 in Tarif Quest. This will let you save big Failstacks for later uses for free.
  • Blacksmith's Secret Book (+XX), item that you can buy from major city Blacksmiths and save your current Failstacks for later uses. Also very useful to know.
