I've been thinking on touching life sooner because mostly I'm grinding mid end content. But recently I also kinda want to chill out and relax . So my thinking is to get on life skill. I pretty much gets the basic idea of life skill as I'm veteran at it at other games etc. The question is should i make new character for life skill or just go with it on my main? What will be the consequences or advantages if I choose it at my main? When can i start to see profit? Is it still worth it nowadays?

i recommend to have atleast one lifeskill alt - you can split lifeskill also on diffrent chars - but really dont do it on the same char you grind / pvp
in the time you dont grind you can just swap to your lifeskill and do diffrent stuff without leaving the spot
The downside of using your main grinder for life skills are the different buffs and some of them can be extremely long lasting like 10 hours. So you might feel the need to be stuck at life skilling or vice versa, if you char has buffs one way or the other.
Thank you for the answer!
Oh you were right about the buffs, why I couldn't think of that! Thank you
let me go into dungeon with my 20% lifeskill buff
Damn right haha
but yeah buffs also a thing - and depend how much char slots you want to use for lifeskill -you can split it very good without running much arround
shai as example is nice for alchemy, processing and cooking bcs of the extra weight passive she has
Corsair is nice for sailing / bartering bcs of the 1% bonus
having a fisher sure you need again might a char with soem inventory slots - but over time from events you get more than enough and you dont need to go extra always to the spot too
same if you want to hunt in LomL - you never need to leave that area
Oh so it best to split lifeskills classes between characters?
If you plan to do all life skills, some classes are better for different stuff. Same for grinding. Shai is great for more stationary life skills. Striker and Musa are great hunters and gatherers because of passive crit chance and good mobility skills
just if yo uwant - some ppl just have a full life skil lchar
Character slot really limited for me now as i have created 4 for boss alt
i personally have all char slots so i just splitting it so i just can swap arround
like for my fences - i have there a char and just swapign to gather the stuff - plant it and leave again the char
i mean you dont need to do it like me - i have all chars slots ovber the years - you can just start for now with one char and you dotn need to do for nonw every lifeskill
i ahve that system qalso just for 2 years now - before that i had everyone on my main
By definition of great, i suppose they have passive skill to helps them shine in life skill?
Damn hahaha
on normal hunting classes with crit passive are a bit better bcs it also counts for the matchlock damage
Wow i didn't know that
classes with dashes like musa are nice for gathering - corsair for the sailing part
tamer should get a buff for training but i think they still havnt put that into thje game
More or less yeah. You can most certainly do life skills on any char if you want to. Nothing is stopping you. But for example for hunting you want the higher crit chance to get more crits, cause you can't use combat skills that well to get crit chance buffs all the time. Or well you can, but its tedious AF! And for gathering, you run from plant to plant, tree to tree, and so on. So fast and precise movement certainly helps with that, like on Striker and Musa. Mystic and Maehwa works too, but they don't have as high passive crit chance buffs as Striker and Musa.
Shai is thought to be the meta class for life skilling, cause it has the weight passive and it also starts with Professional 1 gathering and alchemy if I remember correctly. But the movement on Shai is attrocious. At least in my opinion, so I'd more or less avoid using for gathering. Also Shai is so darn small that she drowns in small puddles and can't use a Guru hunting skill that well I've heard.
Truee... I mean I don't hate shai but i don't like it
Shai is good for stationary lifeskills
But for movement based ones
Like gathering or hunting musa/manhwa/striker etc
Yah. Shai has its uses for sure, but the hopping around makes my head hurt, if you move around in combat stance
This just reminds me of lalafell..
I currently use shai only for cooking/processing/alchemy and sometimes fishing
i use my main still for processing bcs i have there the processing cloths from market - gathering i use diffrent chars
hunting also my main and shai
shai also for cooking and alchemy
fishing i just use a warrior
farming a dk - but that doesnt matter also like fishing with class
but i'm not a tryhard at all i just chill
With hunting you can get decent profit pretty fast if you can get some decent life skill accs to get your mastery to 400 if I remember right. But with others its a bit iffy, cause bartering takes a long while to get profitable and gathering is usually done to get materials for other stuff like cooking or alchemy or possible workshop crafting.
From cooking you pretty much get the most silver from Imperial Cooking deliveries, and you want Guru cooking for the best value boxes for it. Alchemy isn't profitable no matter what you do pretty much 😂
Well that's better profit for sure, but you need Artisan skill level to be able to use the sniper if I remember right
While with regular matchlocks you just need high enough mastery, except for the Master Matchlock, which requires master skill level if I remember correctly
LoML hunting can be absolutely busted for sure cause it drop the LoML crystals fairly often which sells for nice silver
Honestly I'm enjoying Hunting as I've experienced it during quest or offin boss etc
I might create one just for hunting i guess aha
Wait, really??
Artisan 10 needed for Master Matchlock and the Marni Sniper for LoML. Just checked
Sniper hunting is the best profit for investment
Because mastery does not affect rare drops
So until you reach the high mastery brackets sniper hunting beats other hunting spots
How long thats going to take to reach Artisan Hunt ? XD
Took me 1.5h to reach master 2
I remember people saying they made like 2 bil/h when LoML was started because it dropped the crystal which can be rather slow and annoying to get otherwise
Which is above artisan 10
I'm good if it within less than 100hr
Oh wowww
Artisan 10 is very quick
Did you level up on your own or did you get power leveled on it?
Wait, someone can powerlevel us to for hunting?
So within 2d
Also Yh I didn’t know you can get powerlevelled for it

But what I had was like 400% life exp buffs active
Yeah. Basically a more experienced hunter does the killing faster and you go butcher the killed mobs and you get the xp from it
From what I've seen, geared hunters kill hunting mobs faster than you can gather them 😂
I also bought TRI manos Hunter clothes (because only manos has exp buff the other like loggia doesn’t )
Wait , so we get exp mostly from butchering? Not the kill ? Also isn't that consider as Gathering xp?
You don't get any gathering xp if you butcher hunted targets
If you don’t butcher the hunted animal you get 0 exp
Eh... i swear i level up my hunt before while doing some sort of quest without any butcher
Quests are different cause they can give whatever xp as the quest rewards
But basically mobs with <wild> or <sensitive>
Are hunting mobs
And can only be killed with matchlock or sniper rifle
(Can use Normal damage but takes 100x the time)
Yeah i tried the lioness at valencia before not knowing its a hunt mob XD
Took me 10mins to kill
Grass rhinos is still the best spot for levelling
Niceee
I want more characters slot tho haha, I'm the type to play a lot of characters if the games involve a lot of classes
But try to have as many buffs as possible and try to powerlevel before current event goes in <2 days
Because with the event it’s 50% life exp, + 30% if you drop the amber
And also there’s a daily from liana you can collect when you complete it giving 25% hunting exp for 30m
I've been stacking my life buffs item honestly all the time i just doing grind
I think I'm aware of this by accidentally haha
Do you all think there going to be characters slots sale coming on this MT soon since season coupon will be sent out?
Probably after patch, aka when the buffs goes away, because a "new" season is starting
I don't mind about slow leveling too honestly, i just want more character slot XD
You get a free char slot every 50 days with loyalties
But people say its better to take other things like weight limit, fairy petal, storage etc first so i dont know
Im willing to spend pearl on character slot only if it is on sale
Well if you don't mind spending money, nothing wrong with that. Its not like char slots are that expensive. But you could also get a lot of weight and other stuff instead of the char slots, which you could have gotten for free with time and patience.
Yea xD
I wouldn't think much for character slot if they initially start with 10 honestly haha
Just a question out of this topic, if i were limited to 3 boss alt as for now, which 3 bosses should i drop it to?
