The cost depend on the marcet price of the shared items. So if you use the same items, it will always cost the same amount of fuel. There is no workaround. If you want it cheaper, you need to wait for an event.
The reason why it works like that is to protect the central marcet. Would it be to cheap (the amount already got decreased), players would just buy one set for the whole account.

All I want to do it use 3 weapons on multiple characters but I don’t see an option for it to be cheaper fuel it just says 183 fuel no matter what
But i understand what you mean just a shame it’s not cheaper 😦

the thing is, there is no point for them to charge you to copy over armor because all classes can wear same armor, they only charge you for the weapon. as you can just unequip the armor put it in a storage retrieve it on another character
so tagging cost is solely based off weapon's CM cost
