There is a premium horse appearance coupon, but if it does have a short mane it more than likely will be a different color - Lemme check which styles there are for you 🙂 - Edit: Shoot, I'm having problems finding examples that are up to date. I found a couple youtube videos that shows some of the examples but they're from quite a bit of years ago so I'm not 100% - here they are though just so you might get some kinda idea of what they look like.
It's a pearl item that costs 900 pearls. It comes with the benefit of potentially learning a new skill once you use it.
There is also this, it works similarly but it's cheaper but has less coats

Mmmm, this might be far away for you, and I'm not 100% sure if this is the same issue as yours, but I was able to find someone that said they were having issues starting it and that they had fixed it by going to the Stable Keeper in Trent.
