Hello, after 3 years away from BDO, I'm back.

Back then, I played a DK, but I was terribly disappointed with the gameplay change after the awakening, so I quit. (Regardless of the game, I've always disliked characters with stances/weapon changes that make certain skills unavailable.)

I understand that it's now possible to choose the "Succession" path instead of Awakening. Can you confirm that all classes can be played without weapon swaps during combat if I choose succession?

Among the following classes, which ones would you recommend for versatile gameplay?
DK (Succession), Valkyrie (Succession), Lahn (Succession), and Nova (only if the Awakening version can be played without weapon swap).

Succ only uses the main hand, so yeah you never swap to the other weapon in succession

as for which of the classes you named....no clue there, sorry blobcatworried

I’d go for dk, she is by far the most versatile of the classes you mentioned. Awa Nova is played like 85-90% in awa but she uses utility from mainhand so I guess she’s not for you

It seems that Nova is not for me indeed.

I have mixed feelings about playing DK again. I had a lot of fun playing her back then, but I feel a bit disappointed not to take this opportunity to explore another aspect of the game.
What are the activities for which Lahn and Valkyrie are less suited?

I assume you are constanly swapping to the shield with novw when you dash right? For that you can simply lock the pre awakening dash, but some skills on nova will still get you to swap to the pre awakening, the magnus skill for example, soo yea nova not your cup of tea i guess. I totally agree with Mina on DK she is pretty nice to use on succession

Lahn is somewhat less suited for high end pve though that may be alleviated with recent buffs. I personally also believe that succ dk is more useful in mid to large scale pvp fights. Other than that, she is quite good overall too

Succ valk is more of a very very niche Option. She is only good in small scale pvp really, and even then she needs fairly high skill. In everything else, especially pve, succ dk and succ Lahn should outshine her

surprised no one mentioned archer, archer has an "awakening" but its actually an ascension, the class never uses C swap and swap seamlessly through awk and pre awk through skills.

Don’t think op cares about the process of Cswapping, but rather any weapon change. Of which archer has many
