Most likely you are not allowed to resell a digital product youve bought. Please have a look into the TOS of the Author. If there is nothing written it's not allowed by default btw.

Since you have not negotiated a license agreement or something the copyright belongs to him but you are allowed to use it without too many restrictions except those that voilate the copyright defined by law 😄
