Similarities: artsy, easy to double major, super liberal
swarthmore pros:
-First sem pass/fail
-super flexible curriculum, create your own major
-course distribution reqs would make me push myself while still doing things i enjoy
-honors majors
-close professor relationships, small classes
-Philly connection, also trico
-people seem very weird but in a good way
-generally focused more on learning for the sake of learning instead of professional outcomes
swarthmore cons:
-in the midst of suburbia
-everyone says it's super intense - would i be happy?
brown pros:
-no core curriculum
-Providence is good college city + ez access to Boston/NYC
-very chill
-better name recognition
-d1 sports
-i talked to a swarthmore student and she said brown students are the happiest
brown cons:
-it's a little bigger than i want
-greek life
-idk, i feel like the people at ivies are generally douchier
-would open curriculum just keep me in my comfort zone?
im leaning towards swat but i just have these huge questions of like, would i be happier at brown compared 2 unbelievably stressed at swat???
