Penn
Pros:
- change of scenery on the east coast, farthest from home
- able to make good connections as a FGLI student
- best aid (no loans) + more chances for paid opportunities
- consistent housing
- urban location, relatively safe
- least crowded / more attention to individual students
Cons: - cold
- not the best for poli sci among the three
- preprofessional / preppy vibe
UC Berkeley
Pros: - probably best academics among the three
- good distance from home (6 hours driving) + urban location
- strong school spirit
Cons: - relatively unsafe area compared to other two + very inconsistent housing + need loans
- big ass school + very competitive environment
- probably weakest school newspaper (i wanna be a journalist)
UCLA
Pros: - newly consistent housing, best dining halls in the nation, great weather
- very good school spirit
- close to LA (urban pog)
Cons: - VERY close to home (30 min away…)
- comparatively weakest academics
- admitted for major so no time to explore
- again, very large school + loans needed
Tiebreaking considerations: - i’d like to know more about the housing for berkeley and penn (want to know more about penn)
- more about penn in general lol like how’s the food, city life, school life etc
