Schools: UCSC and ASU
Intended major: Computer Science
Similarities: Both of them are solid CS programs, and they both have a nice looking campus
UCSC
Pros:
Good weather, located near the beach, located near Silicon Valley, not too far from my home (can drive home on weekends)
Cons:
Quarter system, won't know as many people.
ASU
Pros:
Applying for Barrett - as a National Merit Finalist I should have decent odds, highly ranked, I know several people there
Cons:
Further away from home, probably higher costs after financial aid due to oos (although money isn't really an issue for me), idk if i could vibe with arizona heat
Tiebreaking considerations:
What's the culture like at each school? Where can I have more fun / a better experience, and where can I find jobs/internships more easily?
