Schools: UCI vs University of Richmond
Intended major: Environmental Studies
Similarities: Good fin aid. idk the similarities

UCI
School 1 Pros:

  • It’s in cali aka sunny
  • Quarters systems
  • Good campus engagement
  • A lot of weeb
  • boba
  • Lots of asians (i’m asian myself)
  • close to home (bay area)

School 1 Cons:

  • BIG SCHOOL
  • I have mental illness luv
  • hard to get classes

University of Richmond
School 2 Pros:

  • Smaller school
  • good internships
  • close to washington dc (i want to work for the EPA after graduation)

School 2 Cons:

  • Conservative asf
  • barely any asian people
  • far from home
  • no good asian food :(
  • rich kids

Tiebreaking considerations:

  • I kinda want to go far but idk
  • Richmond is too conservative for me and i really don’t feel safe, but their internship program is so goooood

How much does the cost matter? I think feeling safe and at home is a totally valid part of the decision
