Schools: Princeton and Yale
Intended major: English? Anthropology? Prob something in the humanities but anything could happen.
Similarities: cost, weather, architecture... honestly, I almost think all the most important things are similar between the two. I feel like I'm splitting hairs!
Costs: My parents have made it clear that I should not let the price affect my decision!
Yale
Pros:
- pre-admitted into Directed Studies, which is something I think I'd really enjoy
- admitted REA and am just so much more well-informed about Yale. I know so much already and it makes my head hurt to even consider trying to learn all the same things about Pton in under a month
- I have a friend who attends Yale who has been really supportive and gave me a super long tour of the library, his resco, everything.
- an airport relatively close to me carries a direct flight to New Haven
- blue's a nice color! and I met Handsome Dan!
- you can take classes at the graduate schools
Cons: - the "graduate focus" thing. But my friend at Yale insists that's not true lol
- no minors, only double majors/certificates
Princeton
Pros:
- two of my childhood best friends were also admitted, and they'll probably go. It would be amazing to go to school with them.
- the "undergraduate focus" thing.
- safer campus?
- there's def more but idk anything about princeton so idek 💀 that's part of the problem
School 2 Cons: - orange is ugly
- I just. I just don't know anything about Princeton. The pros and cons of it are so superficial and this imbalance is my biggest problem.
Tiebreaking considerations
- literally any info on Princeton that could be useful, I want to hear. I feel so overwhelmed!
I will go to BDD and Preview but want to start seriously thinking about both schools before then to give myself time.
