at least from my year at bu

mbta (public transport for mass) decent here, definitely not the best (they are actually derailing the B line here to make the rails faster, they replaced them with giant shuttles which r nice)

BU has its own shuttle bus that can take you from the main campus all the way from west, down comm ave and even to fenway/med campus (med campus bus u can also use it to head over to newbury street where all the shops r too). There’s many stops along comm ave, n u can defo get to class on time despite campus being like 1.3mi long

Boston is a major city (like gray_cat said), lots of internships. You said smt abt premed so being here is also pretty nice bc of the amount of hospitals near here that you can work at (we also rank as one of the top states for healthcare lolol)

food wise kind of subjective + I will say that most places usually close up at like 9-11pm. I fear we are a city that does snooze when it gets late

stores on dot ave near fields corner have really good vietnamese food, chinatown obviously and also quincy has good chinese food, north end for italian, harbor for seafood (but gloucester is better), allston has good food too

but i would not characterize BU/comm ave before packards corner as having good food

although the only tanghulu in the city can be found in the super 88 in packards corner yall make sure to go before it gets rats and has to close again

I will say there are extra classes you do take, but you end up fulfilling hub reqs with them so ya

You get early registration which is useful esp for first year + KHC dorm (you can still get KHC dorming even if you aren’t in the honors college. it’s lottery system)

You can also just try it out for the year if you get it and drop out of it later
