are there clubs? interesting, unique ones? events hosted by students or the school? is there a lot to do in the college town area (bars, restaurants, theatres)?

a good social scene may have strengths in these areas (a lot of clubs, vibrant town with a lot to do) but lower sociality isnt necessarily a bad thing, at the very base level you can reasonably make friends from just classroom interactions

if you want to make friends and want things to do out of the class, look for those things in the schools you research. if you prioritize that less over other factors like academics, then keep that in mind as you research schools
