does unc defer for ea
Alr alr
I GOT IN NCSU
No idea
but you said u got deferred
yes got in!
Congrats to everyone who got in!
Thank you!!
soo if i got waitlisted am i js fried for robertson
it shouldn’t affect it I’d assume
since it’s supposed to be separate from normal admissions
would i be able to drop out of the waitlist like midway
cause otherwise im not going to join it
Ayyyy
Congrats to all those that got in
😭
Guys is onion not working for anyone else
not working for me either lol
Bruh
UNC bro why did you waitlist me
Deferred nc state engineering instate
if I don’t gaf about engineering do I just continue with my day and no letters of continued interest
Yeah, I called and they said the system is overwhelmed
You should be able to access it in 48 hours
ah okok thanks
Ncsu had a lower acceptance rate this yr compared to unc
Nc state is not tough enough to hand out rejections
yo
if im oos
and forgot to do css
is it still possible for me to get some money from unc if i submit it now
onyen works for me rn
anyone know what the intl acceptance rate was for unc?
Overall would make sense, seems like there was an increase in engi apps (anecdotally)
I don't know how it translates to undergrad but I think 1/3 of all grad students are part of CoE
Makes sense there engi schools is really good
head up bro
if I got a C in one of my classes after deferral from nc state am i fried for rd decision
is lgobal launch good for oos?
hi does anyone know what's in the unc acceptance package?
Is onion working for you
I would say so! It's an acceptance, lol
yea
I understand Global Launch as a combination of "we want you, but we don't have (physical) space right now" and "fun opportunity to study abroad yippee"
Honestly I'm happier to be cgl than normal cuz I love study abroad
I've heard great things about Global Launch!
which univrsity did you get
Korea! It's the best one out of their choices so I'm pretty happy
nice
Wbu
scotland
Noice
ya
Haggis and fried pizza and bagpipes and long road names
yeah and cool landscapes
Fs
do honors release separately
or is it in the letter
like honor college or whatever
rejected!
it's under special opportunities
I mean idt we're considered for honors carolina
Cuz cgl
Fr
what’s goodnight
nc state 24k a year scholarship for stem majors
feb 2nd is finalist selection
feb 28th is interviews
is there supposed to be a studentcenter tile in carolinaconnect beause i only see notification, links, and request help
you should be able to yea
can i see a screenshot
but i think at this point of the year there generally isnt anything yet im not too sure
around how many students (what percentage) get honors program?
is there an accepted students gc
NC state is more selective now what a world
did any of you see your financial aid offer yet?
mine says no financial aid offer data yet
For unc or ncsu?
Take the L UNC
It's okay AR will be like 10% cuz of oos
Where are y'all seeing these stats?
Thecollegenavigayor
On ig
Navigator*
Well where's she getting this from 😭
I'm sorry what's AR
I don't see any official ncsu sources
The zooms she joins
Acceptance rate
From the colleges
Insider info damn
Fr
Test optional merchant
I wonder if he went test optional tbh
Why I think they need to require tests again
Well I'm biased LOL
ToT
I'm an academics merchant
If they required it again the ranges would be more reasonable
unc
Congrats to all future Wolfpack and Tar Heels :)
My friend who got in got hers 2 days ago
ohh ok
use microsoft edge and not chrome
10% btw
Its not purely stats like mine were perfect and I didn't get it 😭
did this work for anyone
it did for me and arrow
were you having the same issue with it just showing notification links and request help
yep
@golden jacinth did u get into ncsu
i didnt apply
Aura
Whyy
i was gonna apply accounting but my supplemental sounded genuinely evil
💀 💀
I havent seen a single person post an ncsu acceptance but one girl
While for unc I saw 30+ acceptances
Same
Also chat wtf is the dual degree assured enrollment thing is that good or..?
I lwk clicked random boxes
Yes good thing!
oh yipee okayokay
Believe only 1k assured enrollment offers were made against 5k acceptances for the in state cycle
:(
Unc slander will never end
Umich sounds like he'll with all of there postponment
I'm happy my instate mich friend told me not to apply i understand now
top 3 most evil places:
umich admissions office
umich
hell
it loaded for me like two hours ago so maybe its rolling out
Yes
Like Donny mentioned its not like super common
I think most common assured enrollment is probably info sci
The rest are really uncommon because the programs are small with lots of applicants (or in the case of business just lots of applicants)
Sick gotcha
hi! new to this server so i'm not sure if this has alr been answered, but did anyone else get offered the 'spring forward' program or know anything abt it? i got a scholarship for that program but wanted to know how much of the total cost it would cover
i got it to, and i’m assuming the offered scholarship is for extra expenses abroad? since tuition/fees/board and stuff should be covered by the money ur alr paying unc to attend
not too sure tho
guys is unc honors worth it? ive heard a lot of ppl say its lowk useless
I would say that if you didn't get in not to stress
Almost everything that honors carolina students do, you can do as a non-honors student
I think the main benefits are priority registration & Cobb hall (for housing)
Like the personal things I did that people associate with honors that aren't honors-exclusive
- graduating with honors
- doing and honors thesis (related to above)
- taking honors classes
- doing research
That's not to say that honors carolina is useless, just that non-honors students don't miss a lot, if that makes sense
oh lmao i got in and ppl on reddit say they wish they didn't do it
also how hard is it to get into the business school? would being in the honors college and the accelerated research program help?
They have all the costs on the spring forward website so you should check it out
It is more than a normal semester cost so the 2k scholarship won’t cover it all
does onyen not work for anyone else? for me it says this user is not eligible for an Onyen
Your also global launch right
I read for us it doesn't work cuz the system thinks we're spring enrollment so we need to call up admissions on Monday
so we should call on monday and ask to fix?
did anyone apply for scholarships on pack assist?
Im going to
@golden jacinth r u going to any of the admitted student day things
I'll take any excuse to not go to work
Spring
Stop this madness u have healthcare parents too

Viciously local
Terrifying thought
prayers for healthcare workers who still gotta go to work despite these terrible road conditions
or anyone for that matter who needs to go out
What's pack assist?
its an nc state thing to apply to scholarships there
scawy
ayyyy i got nc state honors college!
yeah im waiting for goodnight im so nervous
i still havent heard anything im so scared
anyone else gotten something from packassist yet?
havent applied to any scholarships yet
gl when you do!
My mom yesterday
We shoveled a pathway so when she got home at 12 she wouldn't slip on ice
Wait how did u find out
i got an email
In my portal it says they havent made a decision so I'll find out in march
gl!
Thank you!
do you know how to check your scholarship status? they said before that goodnight finalists was coming out today
I wasn't eligible for Goodnight so im not sure sorry!!
np
Congrats!!!
CONGRATS
what is assured enrollment into the information science program
Basically as long as you maintain decent enough academic standing, when you apply for the BSIS, your seat is kinda "pre reserved"
So instead of truly applying you're given like pre-conditional admission to the major
If that makes sense
that's sick
The info sci program is fantastic <3 highly rec
Wdym by <3 outta curiosity
like T3?
Heart
LMAO
Lmfao
chapul hall
Just transfer ez
Wait wahhh
I didn't know that
yay my acceptance letter arrived
Did yours get warped too
It was a tad big for the mailbox
im strongly considering info sci as a major! ive heard a lot of great things about it
it's in a box?
in state not oos
ohh
bruh i didnt know there was such a big difference in AR for instate and oos
it's like 37 to like 10 percent
dang
23% for instate kinda crazy ngl
yeah facts
their class is still 67% instate kids but their yield is very high for instate
i didn't think they would have a yield
yield rate
ohh
but it's a big difference compared to 82% instate for unc
i mean yea it makes sense because not that many people would wanna pay that much
unc is not that expensive for me
yeah instate uva is hella cheap
but oos is so expensive
im oos so im still considering other options
otherwise i would actually consider
how much is unc for u
26k
but im pretty sure it could be 16k
because i used their calculator and unless i did something wrong it said 16k there
yea that's crazy
oh wait
yo wait
nvm
59k oos is unc
72k oos for unc
uva
holy fuck
72k is kinda crazy
dang what
is northeastern that high
northeastern is prob more
ngl lmao
northeastern is 90k
the 59 and 72 are tuition+board
USC is like 100k
HOLY FUCK VANDERBILT IS 94k
I DID ED2 THERE BRUH
yo im cooked
that's a lot
ur cooked 😭
i still hope i get in tho lmao
but i didnt ask for aid so theyll like blacklist my school lmao
oh shoot yea
no😭😭
instate
🔥
I wanna see
Oh no that’s our frame sorry
Fancy
Everyone should frame their acceptance letters
Where do you get the frame
cheap metal frames like that one are 30/40 on amazon
probably in state
No its in state
GT MENTIONED 🗣️🗣️🗣️
what
where r u getting this info
i think ur mixing me up w someone else cuz i didnt apply to gt nor do i talk about it
GT not mentioned ☹️
she got unc and villanova
yes im unc
UNC status
The unc school
Anyone who got into ncsu get there aid package
Ive gotten 0 aid packages from ahy school
😅
Nope
They said it’s expected in April on the portal
Oh
Damn
Why so late
Dyk abt uncc or uncg if u applied
i did not apply unfortunately
mine just says this for uncc
Does it show u ur aid
How did u get to this
no it just says they recieved my fafsa nothing else
ninernet
try on microsoft edge
Ty
Did anyone get this email saying the day of a life as a Tar Heel?
ye
ye
actually no
i got an email from chapel hill but its about upcoming zoom meetings
admitted student newsletter
i don't think it came out for me i didn't get any email or anything and haven't heard of anyone getting
but ill try after
same
yall dont have other safety schools 😭
i have harvard
This
We gotta be realistic fr
Lowkey angry at unc cause I got into nc state
With tje exact supp essays I used for unc
But I was waitlisted
Nothing changed
Like wtf
This was my safety tbh honest ngl lie
supps aren't everything
My personal statement stayed the same too and I had more activities fkr unc tbh 😭
With project uplift and a specific unc medical camp
applying to unis is less like checking off boxes and more like getting into a relationship
theyre not just evaluating you based on meeting simple criteria but also how well they think you will fit into the school as a person
its more like a relationship rejection due to compatibility issues than being "unqualified"
Ah ok
I just thought with unc specific ecs id seem like a good fit for unc
But thats not all of the story
Im also an unc
course rigor is considered the most at unc
they're not going to admit someone with the sole reason for someone having "unc specific ecs"
they're gonna look at someones application as a whole
i need everyone at my school to peep that interest isnt considered bit
Y
Clicking every email and stuff 😭
EMAIL 😭😭😭
Yeah, my mom fell down that trap too
Ok I took 6 out of 10 aps offered at my school but to be fair freshman weren't allowed to take any ap classes
And before my nee principal came we only had 2 aps offered
Cause apush died out
And finally came back my snr ur
I also took ncssm online courses too and those are on par with college courses some of them at least
Yes ik
unc waitlisted me too lmao dwai
you have other schools?
Yes
Got into uncc honors college
i got the notif today as well but im confused cuz they sent this out like 2 months ago
Wdym?
i mean honors college decisions were released like months ago
For uncc?
u got waitlisted but got into unc honors college?
No uncc
ohh charlottte
yea
yes they were
hold on
wait am i tripping
omg this is embarassing i swear they were released a month ago or so
Maybe ur thinking of the decision to uncc?
thx for the 2k ig but im not going to uncc..
mayb
Lol
Me either but yay I got some money
did they give u a chancellors scholarship too
For what?
uncc!!!!!!
What's ur major
for arch and cs they're pretty good
And location helps for banking
Also think tuition is like 4k cheaper than Chapel Hill

LMAO
😭 😭
yea
from florida it's not
roi is decent but oos for it is crazy 😭
and college life sucks
and it's not that good for comp eng idk about cs for u
purdue is definitely better and probably cheaper
miles better fs
i was js curious lmao
i mean location/placement is its biggest aspect
did you go to dick's yet
oh are you not gonna buy them if u don't get in
idk if there's a dicks near me to check
if anything ill just wait to see if i get the beanie and then decide 😭
if i dont get into uf im not getting uf related merch
ill prolly let go of purdue lowk
if u get uf?
ye
nah its in sciences
cs @ purdue is better than uf but not worth the price difference
yea definitely
you'll definitely get into uf i have no clue how you didn't with ur stats lowk
🤷
uf rejects way more stacked applicants
than me
idk
its weird
but then they let someone in w like a 3.2 1250 and like nun crazy for their ecs
yea but ur in state too
cs?
nah they dont admit by major but i think they do consider like ur major and how u stack up against other ppl goin for that major
so i prolly js got unlucky idk
ohh do they give auto admit
nah
yeye
also as a fsu fan i like orange and blue more
yea that
sounds
so
criminal
to say
but yea
hey but gators are better
idk
it genuinely depends if you wanna stay there for four years
shi i dont mind
i can see my friends and everything
like i think if i want to transfer unc is the way to go
uf doesnt seem bad
didnt you get into unc tho
😭
for cs?
ynah lol
i don't hate the idea of cs
u can bag a gud job from unc
and i didn't know it pays more until u told me actually
not worth the extra money
depends on school fr
like purdue and gt cs pays more than eng
same w uf
even tho i think eng is harder
see this is what i thought but people were saying that they hire more from nc state since nc state is more hands on and u have more experience while unc cs is just theory
yeah i mean
like it's just more math and stuff and no actual cs parts
yea idk how
only reason im not sure is college life 😭
yes they definitely are
raleigh is nice
that's true
but yea go heels fr
like between unc and nc state if i had to stay for 4 years definitely state
uf has good college life though
umiami is better but not worth it over uf
and im not gonna pick a college just for college life
also didn't u take that one class at fsu
yea
yea fs
no
not
even
😭
uf>um
uf>fsu>um
if u wanna see the buns umiami is where u go though
man
buns at uf too
😭
buns even more at fsu
that's true
fsu is def a work hard play hard school now
fsu liks top 5 for parties but they r also like
yea same with unc
rlly gud academically
but uf is definitely best school in florida
yea people tell me that second sem unc is mostly quiet from ppl studying and stuff
ohh
yea
one of my friends got direct audit into every florida school somehow and chose fsu
fair
or maybe usf
fsu is nice
because he got really good scholarship and it was for med
o yea usf
has a rlly gud med school
strat is uf undergrad
then usf for med school
uf eng>fsu eng
uf biz roughly same as fsu biz (esp w the new building)
uf poli sci<fsu poli sci
uf cs>fsu cs
yea
i didn't apply to a single florida school 😭
i wish nc had better schools
or even sc
there's nothing here except unc nc state and duke and duke doesn't even give priority for in state
nc states ranking is really low though
that's the problem
if i move to like arizona
no one's gonna know ncsu
and unc doesn't even have engineering 😭
they have like 3
i forgot which
it's like bme joint with nc state
and then two really niche ones
dw
wait did u apply
i forgot
ohh it's materials and environmental eng i think
but those are so niche
yep
got rejecetd
got into umd and purdue tho
so like
idk
what ao's be snorting
ohh yea i remember now
yes that's true
nc state deffered a lot of people in my school
their med school is kind of toxic af atm
they just blatantly lie and mislead
😭
if they were oos they probably would've got rejected
they love to advertise they are the highest ranked medical school in florida
didnt know nc state was movin like that
dang actually
except they don't mention Miami and UF dropped out of the rankings
they've become a right wing hellscape
bro this year engineering ar went down a lot
id say engineering and unc in state are almost the same percentage
like 42 and 38 or something like that
thas not bad
doesnt nc state use the 82 18 rule tho
like 82 in state 18 oos
or wtv
someone in my school got into unc and got waitlisted or deffered at state
im pretty sure they do but it might not be that much
is genuinely freelo
yea gtech instate is so crazy
maybe
like 40 acceptance rate
literally going to a t5 eng school for cheap and lowk easy to get into
😭
i saw the cds for last year and like five people got in from 900-1100 sat range
shuda moved to sum random town in georgia
athletes
yea probably
is this only for med?
yea
but transfer rate is also like 40% so
ohh okay
idk if state transfer out schools are good
i know most people who transfer from unc get into umich and like uva
yea if i really don't like it then transfer is the play
plus they have this free bus thing to unc and duke for rtp
so i could go to unc for stuff
nice nice
i think for cs
its like
ncsu>duke>unc
for eng
alone
if ur ignoring cost tho
duke clears
how much cheaper?
i think 4k
mnmm\
i didn't get aid offer from state
yea 😭
i think ill just do what jrunner said and spin a wheel or something
cs or eng?
polytech
i didn't know if you put a second choice they would look at that too
yea stay instate fs
i thought only if you get rejected
because i called asking if it was possible to switch and they said they look at both majors and see what's a better fit for you
instead of seeing first choice then second
it's so dumb
yea
in the purdue thread someone said that polytechnic is only worth it for flight, cyber, and then what i got because a lot of recruiters go for those
and the recruiters there are different from engineering
so in a way its better
but also not really
and i don't think it's worth it paying double for a college that doesn't take even half of my college credits that i have rn
yea
Omg this is so random, but I'm like 80% sure you were in my 8th grade English class 😭 Can I DM, out of curiosity? No worries if not!!
yea sure
Lmfao
wait r u deciding between nc state cs and unc? cuz lowk im in the same boat lol
but im not hard set on cs and i kinda want to explore and see what i like to i think unc might be better
This is fact — we did indeed get assigned to sit next to each other for part of the year in 8th grade English 😭
Nah
Both are good
I would say UNC edges out NCSU in terms of grad school prep/theoretical CS but it's pretty close
UNC CS is also where you wanna go if you wanna double major 100%
What about job prospect
Both very good. You won't be at a particular advantage/disadvantage at either
I can find UNC's first destinations survey & NCSU's most recent grad survey if you want to look at specific places where grads end up working
Sure
nc state comp eng and unc cs yea basically
Realistically the difference in your outcome will be more reliant on the work you put in lol
Let me grab the links
yea that makes sense, for me i'm hard set on technology or some kind of engineering so i would say ncsu might be a slightly better pick academically
would you say cs + keenan flagler would work
i don't have assured admit though
I don't see why not
i swear my family friends be fear mongering the shit outta unc cs saying ppl dont get jobs outta there
wb UNC CS against like GT & UIUC. ik it's worse ofc but I was rly hoping the network there is enough to give it an edge
like I feel like it's such an all rounded school
that it might work out
i wanna go unc because i want to double major
for ncsu cs you get admitted to fye so you can apply to any engineering if you really want so it might be better if you aren't sure engineering/tech wise
All these programs (UNC, GT, UIUC) are what you make of them. UNC not being a "top ranked CS school" doesn't make it a bad school for CS, it just means that it's not a top-whatever by whatever metrics the list is using. You will find unemployed and employed grads from all 3 doing what they love (or... not, if they thought a GT/UIUC/UNC degree and no effort would land them a job)
my friend says the same thing but it technically is kinda true
i think i saw a person on tiktok who had a job at microsoft (she majored in cs and minored in business admin)
from unc
apparently they hire more from nc state for cs and only because you get more opportunities and hands on learning at nc state instead of unc
but if you go to a different state then i don't know if other recruiters realize cs at unc is more theoretical
unc cs is probably not even t20 honestly 😭
NC State UDA Post Graduate Employment Information for December 2024 and May 2025
UNC First Destinations Interactive Dashboard I believe for 2024 grads
would you happen to know anything UNC excels in tho
Define "excels in"
I rly wish UNC had assured enrollment for CS 💔
but would it be worth it if you don't have assured admittance, i feel like it would be really hard to get
sorry menant to specify for cs
like any sub firlds
theory, ai, etc etc
For business I mean it's not easy, but CS is more just there to ensure that CS majors can get into the classes they need. It's not meant to weed people out like other admit-based majors
i heard like its not that hard to get admission to cs from what i read on reddit
okay this all makes sense but in reality no matter what college you go to, you are eventually going to get a job
i would just say there are better opportunities for cs at some other schools
unc cs is still decent and i think they're adding more engineerings
Off the top of my head I'm not sure beyond generically "CS research" and "CS theory" lol
yeah with carolina north i think?
I didn't interact much with CS when I was there as an undergrad
yea if you double major you're pretty much fine but also business admin keenan flagler is hard to get
where are you doing grad
I did biology BS environmental sciences - quantitative energy systems BS with a certificate in applied data sciences in undergrad
I'm currently doing my PhD in geospatial analytics
what do you think of info sci paired with cs or econ? @fiery anchor
idk about this i only know they have a joint bme with ncsu but i think they have like environmental engineering and textile or something like that
i feel like cs and applied math or econ and info sci would be better
yeah. rn they only have the joint bme thing, but i heard the unc chancellor talk about expanding stem opportunities recently with the carolina north project
Right now UNC has 3 engineering majors
- BME joint with NCSU
- Environmental engineering (under the Applied Sciences BS)
- Materials engineering (also under the Applied Sciences BS)
wow that's crazy does unc not have geospatial analytics or something
i think there's a new ai thing coming too
if i remember
oh yea they are
i might do this lowkey
More like I didn't apply for PhDs until late in the app cycle, UNC has geography and it would've been a fine fit I think, especially with the professors I had been working with in Gillings. CGA at State was also a bit of a "hail mary" app, I was originally going to do the MSIS or MPH at UNC and call it there but when I got admitted I couldn't say no
I'm a huge huge advocate for pairing info sci with anything, but it depends on what you want to do
@south lava have you heard of LUPA lab? i actually wrote about it on my unc supp lol
Info sci/CS is a pretty common combo, especially for people interested in like, HCI and UI/UX
its similar to unc ai
But not the only intersection
Just the one I'm most familiar with because it also interests me haha
i see
yea i have actually. i've only heard about it i don't really know what it is other than the ai/machine learning part
oh that makes sense
Even adding an IS minor to econ/CS double major could be very worth it tbh
Or taking IS classes
do you like college life at state or unc better
This is such a hard question LOL. I really liked the vibes at UNC, especially how not-mega-urban it was and how much greenery there was. But I generally found the student body to be... I dunno. Not like all UNC students were unfriendly, but it felt like there were definitely people in certain majors/career paths that were particularly unfriendly or had no interest in maintaining good terms beyond classes.
It's also hard to compare because I'm a PhD student and my program is so small, so it's like a small family. Compared to the bio major, which I'm pretty sure is the largest major at UNC by a long shot, and enviro sci, which is another gigantic major... It feels a bit apples to oranges
I will say though. NCSU is surprisingly green for being such an urban campus
I also think that culture at NCSU will be dependent on which college you're part of
I've found that natural resources is very homey and friendly across all departments, but I can't speak to CoE, sciences, management, etc.
i guess at unc everyone would be in a lot of similar classes no matter what major
do you think it's better to go to state for computer engineering or unc for cs if you weren't planning to transfer or anything considering like every factor
It's definitely more similar at UNC than State, since State will have a lot of major-specific/department-specific versions of classes. But even at UNC there's some grouping depending on what kind of major you're in (humanities, arts, sciences)
i feel like nc state job fair is definitely a lot better for tech side than unc
ohh okay that makes sense
did you have the 8 person dorms
I was on north campus all 3 years that I dormed, so hall style, not suite style
Hall style was pretty nice. Past freshman year, would highly recommend Joyner. Bathroom pods (when people use them appropriately) are absolutely beautiful and peak dorm bathroom experience
I think I'd choose NCSU if I had any interest in computer hardware, and UNC if I wanted to be a software monkey, lol
peak dorm bathroom experience 😭
but okay i'll keep that in mind
Nah let me get a pic you don't understand
i definitely don't mind software, i'm just thinking in terms of opportunities and overall college experience
like i wouldn't mind majoring in any engineering or cs/ds/is
that's actually really nice
how many people share that
Ehh I think about 8 rooms maybe
okay that's not terrible
I never had any issues with all the pods in my half being used at once, maybe only once?
But I just walked down the hall and used one down there
that's true
I mean, I would really consider the difference between CE and CS
i like hardware and i wouldn't mind ece, but i also like software and ui/ux and stuff like that so subject wise doesn't matter to me
as long as i get a good salary honestly
You'll be fine at either school outcome-wise haha
okay
there's still like so many pros and cons 😭
like unc has hella grade deflation i heard
i finished chem through cc luckily
Idk if "weeders for certain majors" = deflation
Like chem is horrifically weedy
But other majors care more about you learning the material than trying to weed
Like I got all As and A-s in my upper level bio electives and couldn't bag higher than a B in the core lmaoooo
i heard some basic classes are harder at unc than other schools
dang
okay if you had to pick in my shoes which one would you pick though
also which one would probably be easier to transfer to a better school from
Yeah I'd believe that
I feel like it would end up being about the same, since a lot of schools that are "better" than UNC/State have much higher retention rates, so it's almost random chance either way
If I had interest in hardware and software I'd go with State
If I had interest in double majoring I'd go to UNC
okay yea that's true
okay that makes sense
thanks
north carolina
north carolina
north carolina
north carolina
north carolina
@somber socket my friend spoke to a unc nursing senior and they said theyre making the nursing school easier to get into
YES
im struggling in microbiology
Let's see my midterm grade
48.5/101
💀
Average college test
im hoping the curve meant u got like a B
No curve lol
So cooked omg 😭
I did the calculations (🤓) and I need to get a 90.1 on the second exam and final to get a flat 80 if I have a realistic grade on the homework stuff
U GOT THISS
whens ur selection weekend or whatever its called
ugh i hate scholarship interviews i feel like im walking in to get shot
my body cant differentiate speaking with a board to getting curb stomped
The 28th I’ve done a mock interview with one of my teachers and gotten grilled and cooked like a fish
I’m working on being consise and giving strong honest statements
im not even doing mock interviews bru my counselors rnt responding
ripp
mines this sunday wish me luck LMFAO
Good luck! What scholarship is it for
brinkley-lane @ ecu
Ooh nice
OOH
U got this
Here’s a trick that won’t help you with the actual interview but will keep you calm leading up to it
Practice and do research and do all the necessary interview prep but otherwise just pretend like you are simply planning on attending the college and are going in for a tour or something. You won’t be able to worry about the interview because apart from your prep, just don’t acknowledge it at all
YAY THANK U FEL
i dont like super prepping for interviews cuz i feel like i sound so monotone
Ofc, it’s just something I heard from my teacher
Yeah it’s rough and I’m struggling with that too
Just treat the actual talking like you would in a school presentation
plssss
Same vocals, hand movements, etc, just very formal
i spoke with some scholars and they said the interview is very casual
Oh nice
and its like the last thing of the day while the group stuff is at the start
Nope unfortunately it’s more of a formal thing with time slots and all that
Anyway I do have to go but I hope you do great! You got this
WE ALL GOT THIS
yo
me rn <3
does anyone know if counselors have extra time to upload the mid year grade report for nc state?
mb I can’t find an nc state thread
is that on a separate website
is it for deferral or rd?
we will survive
guys i got a letter from the mail is that a good sign
depends on what letter
but usually no lol
is it that one letter where theyre thanking u for applying or whatever
deferral
well you have the option to uplaod yourself to the nc state wolfpaw portal or your counselor can upload it to commonapp
she said shes uploading everyones after i emailed her but the due date is the 15th so im not sure
just upload unofficial transcript rn
they'll send mid year to every college anyway i think it's automatic
@tiny jay u always spawn in when i talk abt ecu
face it
in ur heart
u wanna go to ecu
LMFAOO
Please
I promise u I didnot apply there
The only decisions besides duke are out of state
Im waiting on
SCREW DUKE
👎
this is a unc thread
Have to hate
it says "Submitting letters of continued interest or registering for an on-campus tour will not make an impact on your final admissions decision." 😭
yeah
yeah that means nothing
I was litterally there and the lady was an admission officer and my friend got deffered and asked what forms she could submit and the lady said you can definitely submit loci
Why would she lie to her face
im not doubting you were there or she was wrong bro im just showing what it says on their official website
and you can submit an loci what it says on the website is that it won't make an impact
No i understand that
Its just why would she say that the officer when its on the website it won't help 😅😭
Kinda defeats the purpose
EA (out of state only) results?

Accepted
is it fine if I upload my official one
i wasnt sure how to get an ss of my gpa and classes
so I just submitted the classes and grades I got on them from my official transcript along with my entire transcript
yea i have no clue
maybe she wasn't sure or they changed it this year
i feel like if they changed it they would say somewhere though
yes that's basically what they want you to do. you uploading your actual transcript counts as "unofficial" still just because ur counselor/school wasn't the one that sent it
guys are there any recent unc grads that are quants?
