to all the people that just got in, dont feel like you have to share stats/ecs/essays etc, college journeys are personal and not all parts of your application need to be shared.

the other thing is that it's not really one thing that makes somebody get in and there's a fair luck component, so if you happen to be looking at someone's stats, just because somebody took 2 more AP classes than you or has a slightly higher GPA doesn't mean that that's what made the difference. you can't look at someone's stats/profile and understand why they got in and you didn't because that's just not how it works. equally talented, if not more talented, applicants are rejected all the time- that's just how it goes. it's not your fault and it's not necessarily your stats, ecs, or profile either. maybe that's unhelpful because it's normal to want a "reason"... but as with many things in life, there is no reason. and despite the irrationality of human existence and human outcomes, life will go on. and i'm confident each one of you will succeed no matter what.
