for US law and need blind reasons, they can’t explicitly reject people who need aid (for domestic students), but they definitely are doing that with more ED admits as you mentioned

also a big change was simply accepting more students - they took the max incoming students they could with the limiting factor being campus housing, they might in the future pull a northeastern and do alternative housing (although I hope not)
