Princeton should theoretically give more money but if they don’t you can always appeal. Definitely go to both admit days to get a taste of the culture

I will say though that our food is really good. As a first year you essentially get 5 meals a day and unlimited meal swipes which apparently is not the case at a lot of top schools

realistically the chance of getting off waitlist is very low for princeton (~3%)

lowkey a lot of people ik who got into pton got into harvard, stanny, and yale and would choose them over pton so I have a bit higher hopes

I'd assume most people are good conversationalists or know the feeling of joy, since that's part of the application essays. But still worried social culture is more isolating than it seems

even if you dont find your people right away after the initial period where people are looking for friends, it naturally accumulates and you find your people eventually

they also kind of design the orientation/beginning year for you to get your grasp socially with zee groups and peer advisors, etc

#

it definitely helped me socially because i had a lot of anxiety about fitting in/being lonely

princeton gave me amazing aid!! less than a quarter of stanford's coa after their (stanford's) aid

uploaded documents 3/28 if someone needs a reference, so the process was actually really fast

My princeton aid was also unmatched, like 20k less than my other top option

ik but there's no guarantee I'll be able to negotiate in the following years (after freshman year) + going down to 11k from even just 26k (the next lowest offer I got) is quite a jump, even more so from 58k to 11k

you don’t have to take several math classes unless you’re in the natural sciences or want to

#

and even then there’s easier math classes that people that are very humanities oriented take

my friend wrote an essay for her math class in lieu of an exam
