Stanford's interviews, with the community's current knowledge, is availability-based rather than aptitude-based (prescreen beforehand). It could be that your case was not picked up by any alumni for a whole host of reasons (availability, limits, timings etc.) and the deadline to take your case has already been passed. Do not look too much into it. Best of luck.

Harvard is a mixed bag, and is mostly speculation. I think for internationals they definitely do pre-screen MOST applicants, but for domestics I'm not sure. I would put my opinion as 'likely' pre-screen, but not to the extent of Yale's which is 'definitely' pre-screen as mentioned in their admissions podcast.

At the end of the day, there is no definite proof except anecdotal evidence, so make of that what you will. There isn't a good answer unfortunately. As a fellow applicant, I do hope that some students get admitted without interviews, but that seems unlikely.

do you guys know how much they weigh in extenuating circumstances at stanford for your academics? like going into this admissions cycle i had a 3.92uw/4.27w but last year/semester i had a pretty horrible medical issue that like severely affected my ability to perform academically. i made clear what the issue was and how it affected me, so when stanford AO’s see that dip will they see it in the context of the extenuating circumstances and not use the dip in performance against me?
