real
i am a very different person than i was 6 months ago
is that gramatically correct
yayy
gen did i tell you i got into uiuc too
whats yield?
i wrote my why major essay over the wrong major
lmfao
i wrote it for bioengineering and got in for neural engineering
bruh
i realized bio engineering was just farming stuff so i switched last minute
lmaoo
ofc u didn't
I DID THE SAME
i misread it and didn't realize until right before i submitted
does it matter?
prob not
🥀
there's so many other aspects to your application that are muchmore improtant
nashville's such a pretty city
i mean its harvard anyways (applied as a joke 🥀)
same
almost 50% a2c acceptance rate lol
thats insane
you possible cant tell me that a 3.4 GPA app is better than a 3.9 GPA app
holy cope
So chat any ideas why uiuc deferrals come out before rd?
what do you mean by this
deferred student results come out in the regular decision
Deferred applicants get there decision on feb 28th, rd decisions come out march 5th
no...
it says so on the portal
yeahh
are you in a special program or something? I don't see anything that supports this
DUDE
what
THEY CHANGED THE date from feb 28th to MARCH 6TH?
THIS IS what it was earlier
look
DUDEEEE WHAT THE HELL
now i think most deferrals were because they didnt have the time to review all the apps
Could be tbh
is the acceptance rate in the college of enginnering different for each major
yes
is engineering undeclared a weird one to apply to?
eh, if you really are undecided
if you already know you want to do x major, theyll just make you spend a bunch of time exploring different engineering classes
can confirm yeah
maybe im just salty about a deferral but im assuming its aroudn the same levle of competitiveness as like a normal discipline
hard to tell
theres a couple confounding factors beyond just the admission rate for that major as well
i dont think it's a backdoor though, plus you arent guaranteed your top major choice when you declare
Does anyone know why UIUC doesn't consider LORs?
was kinda happy they didn't tbh 🙈
I go to a competitive school so mine aren't all too crazy in the context of my school
do they even take them?
nah
yeah lol they're barely gonna read the essays
but yeah now I got no hope that defers come out on the same day as rd
idk I'm pretty sure my essays are what got me in my stats aren't allat as an OOS student gunning for CS
js catered them hard to UIUC/grainger
im not saying its a backdoor, Ive just heard transferrign engineering to engineering discipline at uiuc is very difficult
so i wanted to keep options open
oh
if you're in engineering already
from like another school to engineering may be tough
welp just gotta pray in RD
Dude ur alr in GT leave us something
Look at my track record
I NEEEEEED THIS
just saying, as long as you didn't apply to the same major as me I'm not really taking anything away from you
having optoins is good, im a little uncertain about gt
What major r u
compE or EE?
i think compE is a capped major
engineering undelcared is in the engineering school ig, but i'm not in your discipline
you are in a different applicant pool than I am
We r in the same school for all schools that accept into schools and not majors
So purdue
Uw mad
Do we have to apply for llcs or honors or anything?
at UIUC specifically
guys a&m is 32k ish in state and uiuc i pay around 72k what do i go to if i get no other college?
?
i dont even know what you are arguing
ok cool, we are both applying to the same schools 👍
agreed
@dreamy quartz wait what state r u from?
Washington
u waiting on udub
yuh
nicee
when does udub come out
would u take udub over gt if u get in?
probably
yea that makes sense
march
damn
oh thats p late
Wish they offered EA
is UT gonna let me in gng..
i hope UT lets you in gng
yea
prob this week using last year trends tho
i lowkey need it to come a bit earlier cause i dont wanna stress on WIO while i wait
u got defered rt?
were u oos?
yea it was baddd this year
8% or sumn
ce had no interational acceptances 😭
i see
i am intl for gt
so its kinda fried
i got defered to so ig we will wait and see
BRO
UT WONT LET ME IN, I AM FROM TEXAS 😭
mb
i am acc crashing so hard cause of what UT did
u apply there or nah?
thank god i didn't do engineering
yea engineering itself was bad this year
like i am supposed to be in state and no one in my school got in
to ece
we had 1 ME that got pushed from rd to ea
which.. idk man that js feels wrong
It's holistic
It's not js GPA or js ECs or js test scores
ik i was being sarcastic
Quit coping bro 😭
chat I aint even coping for myself
he prob had good ecs tho
my gpas like 2.8
nah but tbh in my school we had person 1 with 3x aime qual, calc bc/multi/diffeq, math team pres, research get deferred and person 2 with3.7 uw gpa with no math ecs get in (mathematics oos)
im so fast they call me speed
i mean maybe everyone with 3.7 uw js cured cancer
and we dont know about it
but all the people with 4.0 js have 0 ecs at all
and wrote nothing in their essays
nah ik this guy hes an unemployed chud bro
and also slimed their LOR teachers
and somehow he has better acceptances than our entire class top 10
yea and hes prob not even going to uiuc either
he got umich engineering somehow
dude you've been at this since decisions came out. there are so many other factors, why would a top 5 cs school yield protect??
the data which is you getting peoples stats and going "wow! you should've gotten in!" ?
??
UIUC is a reach school, and rightfully so, its hard to get into man
its like getting a pokemon card graded at PSA and the grader had a flat tire on his way to work that day
sarcasm
They don't yield they compare you to your high school
So if you have a 34 act and your school avg is a 31 it's gonna look different than if your school avg is a 25
Same with gpa
I need to cope vro
I had pretty damn good stats and my essays were decent 😩😩😩
flat reject 🥀
deffer or reject
oh damn reject
what were ur stats
Damn I got GT but no stamp finalist you’re cracked wtf
I got defer UIUC too
This is why they got beat by 60
Lol 😭
You’d think this score was a basketball game bu no it was football
ts is why their mean sat is so low
I’m kidding I love UIUC please don’t flame me
gt
Tbf it’s Indiana
same lol
Nah no way this true
It can be true
Bro people w way higher stats r getting deferred or rejected ?
Maybe they aren’t a good fit
There’s always something you don’t know
That’s good
Let’s hope
ur getting in gng
no worries man
idk
prob making them the best fit they can be
You got it bro be ready
feb 28th WE are getting in
March 6th
They changed dates
oh shoot
Check ur portal, ull c
4 days before my bday its a sign fr 🥺
So far I got Purdue CS which I’m pretty happy with
only cs student would get it lmao so thematic
they are pretty much the same, theres no point in proving one is better than the other
yeah both are like best of the best anyways
fs but uiuc has better industry connects than gte
both programs are good for specific things
but yeah peak vs peak
Honestly the difference is so small
That I really don’t think it matters that much tbh
Only one difference is finance thats literally it
but apart from that legit same
GT or UIUC?
lwk gt is probably better option unless ur is bc its a decent amount cheaper
Yeah and weather and city tbh
But thats preference shit
slightly yea, as its been on top for quite a few years now and uiuc has more majors in which its significantly better than gatech so people from non-tech backgrounds find uiuc more popular than gatech
but if you are talking about the tech-industry, specifically cs, both of them are well known in the industry
Uiuc
ofc the only difference is computational finance
Which is mainly a uiuc thing over ga
if oos for both, gatech, cheaper and better location
did u get deffered too?
half the population got deferred gng
R there any merit scholarships for UIUC intl students?
believe so
thats js need based
I got into Gies with essays written in 20 minutes
I was literally half asleep writing lmao
?
lol
and btw no only a select few private institutions who are overshadowed yield
this isnt how it works btw
everyone could be getting into harvard if it was that easy to "be the best fit they could be" and get in
anyone gotten their actual letter yet
Alani and Red Bull are the energy drinks of performative people
I have banned the main coper
no
If anyone else continues please use the /report command
they said may be around a week
yeah, idk why they did that
lol good for RD people
lmao
so i applied Math + CS, no second major, but they accepted me into Grainger pure CS, the hell do I do now? do i just transfer into CSX when I go or what chat am i cooked
Is transfer from ce to cs + x possible
for non grainger cs+x
lmaooo bro was just too good
GENUINELY
THATS WHATS EVERYONE TELLING ME
yeah i did
deadahh just said "we can't take you for ts but try this alternate major"
lo and behold grainger
soooo any advice
its so weird none of my friends had this
ofc they just applied csx
does uiuc ce yield protect
No
What were your primary and secondary choices?
.
first choice math cs in las
no second choice
i'll welcome any advice
if you want to change it back to cs + math, you could try to email the admissions office
how do u even apply csx lol
for my second major I wanted to do cs x statistics
but all I found was statistics
💀
what was your first
ok might be hot take here
but I feel like hella people at my school treat uiuc like a saftey even though its like t5
is it cuz of its nat ranking
idk
Everyone that submit sat scores in our school got into uiuc
And everyone that went optional got rejected
Crazy
what was the avg sat score acceptance for ur school
it's just the novelty bro my parents have been harping it since freshman year year
and i'm instate
and im a sucker for overall prestige
Submitted scores were all above 1430
I dunno bout average tho
xd
u get in?
ok ok
Oh cool!
I’m physics first, I was going to do math second but decided not too bc of the extra essays… 😅
iirc, most cs + x majors are only available as first choice majors, stats + cs is one of them
is there a uiuc ce or uiuc class of 30 discord? or do i gotta commit for first
dm i have the inv
oh lol
wait bruh then im just applying straight statistics
😭
bro what
anyone get a merit aid offer on their notice of admission
they sya on their website that merit scholarships come in april or so
I…don’t think this happens?
I have literally never heard of this happening before
well theres a first ig
didn't apply for 2nd choice
I DONT KNOW
Maybe this is what happens
im not the only one i know another guy at my school who applied math cs
no alternate
and got cs grainger
Eh you can probably transfer
Shouldn’t be a problem I think
yeah what else am i gonna do
Just take math 314 your first sem
Do well
Apply for transfer
I’d be surprised if they didn’t take you
well besides beg them to switch me out ✌️
what's that
so far i've done 257 and 241 dual enrollment
It’s like the intro higher math course
ah
Yeah that’s next ig
yeah i think i'm scheduled to take that
I would take 416 as well the sem after that
That’s the abs linalg course
I’m taking that rn
Only reason you shouldn’t take it first sem is cause it’s like banned for first sem freshmen to take it
That’s 257
oh thats what i meant
Also if you want a stronger grounding in proofs I’d take 416
257 doesn’t count as a prereq for a lot of the upper div math courses
ahhh ok
I see
No harm I think
Another good class for cs math is math 441
That’s the harder diffeq course here
I’m also taking that rn
ye most likely
Alr good
Yeah that’s helpful I came in with that
Made it easier for me to go through the course curriculum faster
i'm like a junior with the credits i have lol
yeah lol
actually I’d go as far as saying like
sigh i shoulda done cs + econ or smthn
It’s common among competitive majors like CS and CE
my friends who applied that got in
i can imagine haha
You’re grainger cs
Honestly
Like
I think you’re fine
i guess
not really looking to do pure CS though
You could be braindead and pass it
Yeah fair switch to cs math then
Cs stat isn’t a bad choice either
like i REALLY dont wanna do pure cs haha
which is why i'm so confused
I think instate at this point CS math and cs are the same level of competitiveness
At this point
my essays were mostly abt like my math team stuff too
i think i talked more math than CS
and my ECs line up more with that too
Even though out of state they’re still pretty drastically different
yeah i checked the official acceptance rates
Are you sure you don’t want to email them and ask if they made a mistake
im instate
but yeah
oh im going to
Alr good
i just need like a contingency plan if it doesn't work out
Consider CE as well we do some good shit too
possibly
you can transfer into stats + cs https://stat.illinois.edu/system/files/2021-05/Stat%26CS transfer guide.pdf
What job do u wanna do
not tryna be an engineer no offense
hm
There’s a guy I know here who’s CE who interned at citadel as a QR last summer
🤯
So like
damn
As long as you’re a computer adjacent major
but fr do you think they acc made a mistake????
It’s basically the same
Probably
I’ll ask around but
I haven’t heard of this happening before
becuz i know cs grainger is like ridic competitive
huh
the more i talk with other people
the more i realize my parents are lowk buns at this stuff
welp good thing im not
I'll send that email tho but i seriously doubt they screwed up that bad
esp cuz it happened to another kid
sm said maybe it cuz they're dissolving math cs? def wrong though
you can switch into csmath
it wont be a problem
pure cs is the more competitive program anyways
but i got declined...
and i don't rlly wanna wait a year to do so
what if I ask like really nicely
ICT is different
also your first year literally doesnt matter
cuz you'll be taking intro classes anyways
R u compE or civil
i know i know
theres lot of overlap between grainger and math cs courses no
CompE
wdym
cs and csmath have to take the exact same cs core
Are u class of 2030?
just that for cs, after that you take CS technical electives whereas for csmath you complete a math core
I forgot which one you are lol
also you can switch from cs to csmath but not csmath to cs
yeah thats what i meant
Would u recommend CompE at UIUC to an incoming class of 2030
I applied for compE first major and after cmu it's my top pick
I got deferred in the EA round
I'm an intl for reference
How r the placements, research opportunities and jus ur experience in general for compE
OMG
I JUST LEARNED
I CAN TRANSFER TO CE FROM ANY GRAINGER
CompE*
This changes everything
I was reading the transfer students policy lol
uiuc computer engineering is top tier
Yes but u get Purdue which is top tier for ECE too for half price
if price is a big deal to you go to purdue
half price?
but (in my opinion) uiuc offers a stronger CE program
deadas??
holy
😭
making me feel better abt my rejection
ty
wait rly?
oh damnnn
thats hell ahard then
where u get that data
oh wait
enginereing is ltierally like
20x easier
tf
mb like
10x easier
its hella hard tho lol
why is electircal engineering like 50% lol
is it easy to transfer from one engineering to another?
4% wtf how the hell did I get in 😭 my essays were some booty
I would
I mean I'm a freshman
this is old
and outdated
EE was 20% OOS this year
compe was like 12%
yaya
but imo they offer some really good resources here
cs is not 20% tho oos
instate CS went up a decent amount
so like
I think that's where the diff was made up
347 kicked your ass bro?💀
more than i'd like to admit
im not in any math
Ah
💀
cs was 7.4% last yr in total
public schools usually release lots of admission stats
I mean you'll be taking linalg again
just proofs
up to u if that's what u want
yeah
instate drags that up
OOS is insanely selective
lowkey I think they just admit on
LOTs
raw aura
💀
Like they look for big achievements and shit
they don't care much about essays
Some people align really well with the major too
so
They're pretty good at discerning that
guess I'll find out if I commit
even from the short essays that you have to do
Any idea about the placements and research opportunities for compE, i wanna get into SLAM if yk what is
saw some Reddit post when I was applying that they really value societal impact/demonstrated societal goals
lowk mayb the reason I got in
lowkey idk anything about this but I will say for damn near anything if you want to do research or learn about something
this is the place for it
like there's hella offerings
for everything
there's some wild ass classes fs
and there's people doing research on like almost any topic you can think of
since the CS/ECE departments here are so strong
What about summer research programs and outreach into that
that being said the teaching itself isn't anything to write home about
I mean mainly u just cold email
Ic
I'm intl
The pricepoint isn't an issue tbh but I got deferred for CompE, so I jus have to wait another month ig
lmk if you get in RD
Id take EE or CompE, jus the acceptance awaits
Yup
I think they reconsider for both majors
the acceptance rate is so high bro
So yea
that's old info
might be harder now
I didn't check the bioe acceptance rates when I FOIAed it though
I have a 1500SAT(790math cuz I know they consider math more)
140 DET decent grades
What det
If you get in for EE it's really easy to transfer to CE
English test
if you want to do that
intl?
Yeah If I get in EE I'll def be transferring to CE
Ye
like those majors are very easy to switch between because they share so many courses
yeah it's easy you'll be fine
ima start tweaking if uiuc admits me to regular statistics
xd
yeah that's doomed
I wouldn't come here
i mean its # 22 but
yeah but like
idk
are u instate
if ur instate maybe it's worth
OOS def not
outstate xd
yeah then like
can i email em
Is the campus and getting to classes and all good?
to switch that
no
or
just go to your state school for stats in that case
campus is good
💀 pray i get in my first major lol
i got 790 e 790 m
Do they have good food there?
probally idk
I like food if u can't tell
yes
def
the food is fantastic
Well
the dining hall food is ass
Icic nice
the shit on green street is fantastic
switching into CS + X isn't that hard from what I've heard
can I guess which country u from
cs+stats and
cs+math
Sure
I feel like chinese people say ICIC a lot so id guess China
dafuq
No lol
@placid pine is location as bad as ppl make it out to be
It'll stay a mistery
that's the main thing turning me away
why lol
nah locations prob fine
oh wait
but I wont get in my second major unless
I get rejected from my first right
in that case I prob woudln't go anyway so its fine
@placid pine I finished my abstract for my independent research but i wasn't able to submit it in the EA round cuz it wasn't done by then, and now I'm not allowed to submit anything additional
Do u think i should send a mail even though they said no additional info except initial app?
no
do not
cuz they literally told u no so
i mean
it doesnt look good
probably not
I'm not really good for deferral questions since I got in EA
type
Noo😭
Dont do this
Will just annoy aos
But acc do it cuz I also got deferred n I wanna get in 🙂
how did they take u in a more competitive major wtf
💀
how come straight cs is harder than cs
- x
Wait does UIUC no take LOCI and all?
oh wait i'm blind, i didn't see the top stuff
i can't both read and comprehend at the same time
wait
do they?
I thought they dont
Wait did you get into M and C at UIUC?
yea
i dont wanna do pure cs anyways
m and c 🥀
they probably reached headcount for the math+cs major, thats all
since theres only a limited number of seats for that specific major
if they give them cs grainger admission
he is qualified?
idk
how does one get admitted to cs and not cs+x
it's something new this cycle it seems
Uiuc intl or a&m in state? Just wondering if paying double the price is worth it if I cannot make UT.
i guess i am
and it isn't really cs + it's diff
ts pmo
letters came out yesterday
uh guys
does anyone know intl cost of attedenance for next sem
i wanted to get a rough number before i accept/decline.
are they really increasing tution by 6k next fall?
Tuition, Undergraduate Admissions, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
here are two links you can look at, one is a cost calculator
Total: $58,616-$68,966
i'm not sure where you got this number tho
what does the range mean?
it says 44k for fall 2026 but i saw it say 38k in other places
your estimated cost of attendance would be in between $58,616 and $68,966
do you have a link
us news said 38k out of state
us news probs isn't as reliable as uiuc's own website
thats fair
is it worth paying this much..
i think that's a discussion you should have with your parents, not us lol
yea thats fair lol
i will wait for UT and decide ig
they are increasing tution by 3k for fall 2026 tho
you can look into the annual reports released by uiuc each year to estimate the salary you'd get after graduating
checked fall 2025 and fal 2026
they stopped after 22-23 right?
um, i know that there are reports from 2021-2024
i don't think the one for 2024-2025 came out yet
this seems fair
i haven't looked much into UT, but you can also check if they've also released graduate employment data, and then compare it to uiuc's
https://illinisuccess.illinois.edu/annual-reports @fresh nymph
i count as instate for UT so its 1/2 the price
thx
mhm
lol, probably a better return on investment then
yuh lol
Should I ping about this bc we pinned the march date 2 months ago
I assumed that was known
Yes
I had no idea until someone told me here lmao
on the sporatl is deadass says feb 28
UIUC RD is not Friday Feb 27th it is Friday March 6th see attached pin bc many of you have said the Feb date @everyone
That is a Saturday
Who da hell is saying its on feb 27?? 😭
Apparently many people
chlo
?
This is what I’m wondering 🥀
Literally on their website 😭
is it fine if i dm you, its about a server-related question
I was told to ping bc like 5 of you were shocked abt the march date
why did i have to be reminded about this
Why can’t it be modmailed
well thank you anyway Chloe :)
uiuc isnt even nice enough to release decisons earlier, they reject more and more townies every year while simultaneously saying they want more students from here 🥀
I’m glad it’s only a month wait for my next decision instead of two months
yea they changed the date i think
ye sure
xd
My portal said that
did uiuc announce financial aid or scholarships or anything like that yet
march
oh icic
it showed 28th on the portal originally
they changed it
for ppl who got deferred
When do scholarships come out
wait so people who applied rd will get before people who got deferred?
march
march 6th is the date when both rd applicants and deferred ea applicants get to see their decisions
lol what it's always been sub-10%
it's literally like 3 or 4% this year 💀
maybe 20% in the 1980's lmlfao
don't include in-staters
actual acceptance rate is like 3-4
nah my best thing was 2x aime and i got in
they look for ec cohesiveness and if your essays tie them together well or not
so if u do ee then do ee-related ec's, if u do cs then do cs-related ec's, etc. and then tie them tgt using ur essays
oly friends applied for less comp majors and still got deferred
agree w this
Lowkey though
Like I had only one CE related EC
ye i mispoke xd
i was thinking of cs x majors
only 2x aime
oh noooooo
lol thats hella cracked
I see
all my other shit was like cs and math
lmao
I think my raw stats carried as well
I did have a big engineering award too
Nothing engineering in my profile
Just stats/ds
So that’s probably why I got defer
Cuz 4.0 1560 should clear academic bar
Guys, my school counsellor told me to send an LOCI to UIUC
But idk if i have to
like everyone says dont send it i am not sure
They clearly state on their FAQ, that any additional info other than initial application will not be considered but if u wanna go ahead and lower my comp for me
Go ahead
I agree with fortnite enjoyer
feel free lol, I would recommend against it tho
Maybe consider firing ur counsler icl 😭
L comms
Send it
Don’t listen to two seniors saying otherwise cuz the school counselor isn’t the school counselor for no reason
"To ensure a consistent and fair review process, we don't consider any additional information other than what was provided in your initial application."
It's just a waste of time, work on it for schools that actually accept LOCI
Most schools will consider a LOCI, so the counselor probably just mistakenly assumed that UIUC does as well.
Yeah after looking at that you’re right
But I was thinking that if you have the time then it can’t hurt to send one even if they don’t consider it
Yo Bob
Is UIUC worth the 36k premium per year?
compared to what
A&M
what major exactly?
Comp engineering
probably not tbh
36k per year is a lot
and tamu is pretty solid for CompE i've heard
Yes I am stuck to
If I get UT defo would be a easy decision but idk if I am really into a&m
why not
would you be taking out loans at all for that 144k (assuming 4 year graduation)
Lowkey campus when I went felt way to big, and there is so many people and I heard some weird things about social life there
I am not sure yet, like uncle said he can pay for me and I pay him back or sumn tryna figure it out
according to google, uiuc's campus is bigger lol
Dawg what
That’s crazy
Alr I will try to visits before I make a decision
Unless money is flowing like that, I would probably consider tamu more
A&M is a college town so I taught it was crazy big
Got it
urbana-champaign is a college town
I hate being international 😭
Oh I c, lowkey my friend and doctor glazed so hard I applied to it
Is the social life and clubs there chill or a lot of toxicity?
don't get me wrong, uiuc is def top tier for engineering
but it's hard to justify 36k per year
Yea fs
very chill i would say, overall collaborative environment
If it was closer to 10-20k I would have defo done uiuc
That’s good to hear
classes don't curve down and no grade deflation so students aren't trying to gatekeep or whatever
Do they give scholarships or some sort of financial aid to internationals or does it just not do that
That’s amazing
very unlikely i believe
for most engineering degrees, prestige is less relevant for finding a job, especially after the first one. and tamu is well regarded for engineering so it shouldn't be an issue, especially not a $144k issue
it's worth having a conversation with whoever would be funding your education, but yeah lmk if you have any other questions about the school, and I'll try to answer them
for your major specifically, you should ask the CompE guy here
Alr thx a lot
Got it
tamu is like the largest uni or smtn in the usa
Yea he said uiuc is bigger so I am bigger
oh wrong person
Are you trying to do swe or hardware
W sabotage😭😭
I am not sure yet
Prob hardware, I wanna kinda do something making nanotech
But idk if I can undergrad specifically
cooked
o yeah thats true
idk a camper got deferred from gt so 2x aime isnt auto admit ykwim
I know more people who got into SCS and not GT last cycle than the other way around
They’re all OOS though
I knew a guy who was 3x AMO who got WL
Yeah I had some big engineering shit but not solely compe stuff fs
It was calm though
Well you’re obviously not ECE😂
IMO, CompE is like the only engineering major where prestige actually matters💀
Oh I see
Got it
So like
is uiuc eng > purdue
Yeah for ECE we gap
in terms of campus life too not jsut eng
Purdue is dead
heard uiuc has a great campus life
Like for halloweekend they come here
how's the food situation lik
It’s solid
I heard green street is great
I've heard sm good things abt the ramen restaurants on green street
It’s probably not far
It’s like the main food street
Yeah it’s like right behind the chipotle on green
So same shit
Alch!!!!
if they defer u, u clear the academic bar for contention right
they wouldn't have deferred you if you did not have a shot in rd
I got defer 😭
with room and board, it comes out to 67k a year for me, and i'm grainger international with one of the more expensive rooms, so this should be the upper bound
keep in mind that illinois freezes tuition based on when you arrive
so for me 67k is constant for all 4 years
other schools typically don't have this type of thing (https://www.uaps.uillinois.edu/student_programs/guaranteed_tuition)
they're raising tuition by 3k next year, so you'd likely be paying 70k for all 4 years
also illinois is VERY generous with test credit, if you did ap/ib you could graduate in 3
i can graduate in 2 because of it
got it
fair
same
icic
yeah it's js the general narrative it seems
how is it a sabotage if they say it’s not considered 🤨 im js saying in general it’s better to listen to a counselor over a student
Also I personally know someone who sent loci and was admitted rd in a previous year idk if that helped or not
